Thanks for your help – I did end up going in and re-doing the link changing manually and that resolved the issue, so it does look like it was the automated link changing script that broke things.

The search and replace seemed to work well in all ways except possibly this one.

I don’t have this issue with new pages or posts. I can create new ones, edit or delete existing ones, and it all saves with no problem.

The permalink structure, as well as the paths, are both already correct under General Settings.

So I’m lost as to what to try next! The only thing I can think of would be to re-write the database again and change the links the long 15-step way. Any other suggestions?
