There are some Gutenberg blocks that are specific to WordPress.com (I know that there is one ‘AI text’, which is not available in the block editor of self-hosted WP sites).

So most probably you’re using some of them, and that’s why the editor breaks – I guess.

If you create a new page, are you still unable to use the block editor there?

Do you know the Microthemer plugin https://br.www.ads-software.com/plugins/microthemer/ ? It allows you to edit the page for specific media screens.

So you could edit the page through Microthemer, select the images and change their size/position.

Apart from that, I would suggest to change the theme for a moment and check if the problem remains or not.

Moreover I would test to deactivate some plugins and check if there is a conflict. Just backup your website before trying this debugging method.
