@qriouslad Yes I am aware of how it affects the page speed score but some websites are a bit heavier or use cheaper hosting and take a bit longer to load anyway, so it’s nice when you have some animation playing while the page is loading.

I was using Sinatra’s Theme built-in preloader but I had to change the theme to Astra due to Sinatra lacking some features and I installed Preloader by Alobaidi since Astra shows the menu in some vertically messed up way while loading the page and I don’t really have the time to debug the issue, so the preloader is just a fancy way to cover it up, it shows up for merely a second and it does not leave a bad image of my website that otherwise people would see and have it imprinted in their vision.

I liked the Sinatra built in preloader because I believe it was using some CSS animations unlike this preloader that uses a GIF image, but I had to go with what I had available, and Sinatra had to go.

Well, I have been inactive for a while and I got a mail notifying me that my website has been updated to WordPress 5.7.1, shortly after that you posted this reply, so I guess that the update resolved the issue. I assume that it is somehow related to the 5.7 version of WordPress since the bug came with the 5.7 update and was gone with the 5.7.1 update. I hope this gives you some direction about where to look at…

Hey there, I bumped into the same issue while configuring an author box for my website.

I am currently using Version 1.1.1 of the ULTIMATE AUTHOR BOX LITE plugin and have been having trouble with my “Customed Biographical Info” as it was deselecting the checkbox and erasing the written text each time I tried to update my info.

Luckily, I found this report, and thanks to the OP (@jeremytarpley) I have modified my bio to fit in the standards and avoided the bug by removing any quotations but wanted to let you know that the bug is still present in the version that I use (hoping it is the latest one released)

Besides the bug, the plugin is pretty awesome and offers you different pre-designed customizable templates giving you the freedom to design your author box in any way you please without having to have an original design idea. I can confidently say that it is one of the best, if not the best author box plugins that I have met so far.
