one thing though: i had it setup so that there were no page titles, how can i get rid of those again, but keep the blog post titles, as you showed me?

Hi MichaelH (or anyone else). That Category Widget was a very simple way to solve my problem.

However, I would like the categories to be “between” other pages on the navigation of the site, not at the bottom. See here: https://rachelbutterworth.com/offline/

BLOG and HOT TIPS are the categories. I would like them higher in the navigation (which is the PAGES widget).

Any way to do this?

** UPDATE **

I actually thought of a way to do it: just to have one page widget above the category widget, excluding the pages below, then another page widget below the category widget with the opposite (excluding above).

Problem is that the page widget exclusions is not working with the page IDs.
