I am thinking of reaching out to them with a special edition of the newsletter, explaining what went wrong. I guess I will have to set their status back to “active” before MailPoet will let me send that special edition newsletter to them?

They go to the from-address or to the reply-to-address.It works! Thanks guys!
I have re-enabled the plugin in my site.
Now the only confusing thing left in this discussion is that the fix is in the version that was named as the culprit in the title of this thread…
I am having the same problem with version 1.21.0.
I used wp-cli to solve it for now:$ wp plugin list +---------------------------------------+----------+-----------+------------+ | name | status | update | version | +---------------------------------------+----------+-----------+------------+ [...] | publishpress | active | none | 1.21.0 | [...] +---------------------------------------+----------+-----------+------------+ $
Switch off:

Can we change that setting on a by-newsletter basis?
And where can we find it?Wouldn’t it have been sooooo much easier to simply give us a text box where we can fill in our own privacy related text in whatever language we desire? One change, one database field, solved forever. And offers website owners a lot more flexibility…
I am not happy with having to tick a box to make somebody else’s text appear below my messages, no matter how diligently it may have been translated.

you speak wise words. But I still think even a sloppy admin like me should not get a malfunctioning website due to (my) lagging compliance to GDPR.
My first thought was to give the plugin a 4-star review until this is fixed, but I am going to put up a temporary policy, informing my users we are working on the GDPR. So I will no longer be able to check whether this has been fixed.
So I trust it will be fixed and I will award it a 5-star review right now. It is helping me a lot and you are very responsive to support requests. WTG!

I am also not going to create a dummy policy just to get the scroll bar to work.
Yeah, disabling the plugin to quickly handle a post works. I just hope all my settings have been retained while I did that.
I am convinced we will soon get an update.

Same here, but the message is in Dutch:

It solves part of the issue: I can now insert images from my library into newsletters. But the built-in pictures on the right in the editor are still broken.
Besides that: This has broken my WPML, especially the english version of my site is not working now. So I have to switch it back. ??Forum: Plugins

It did not fix my issue of course, I still have the same problem: All Images fail, I get URLs likeIt is quite obvious what is going wrong here, but not so clear how to fix it.
