The problem was me. I used “tag:” when I should have used “post_tag:”. This is not in the documentation, but I was able to figure this out when I took a second look.

I’ve just installed the update, but this still isn’t working. I don’t think the issue is that it’s on a subdomain. I think it’s that the subdomain is calling posts from the parent domain.

My main instance on the primary domain continues to work nicely, thank you.

I’ve set the posts to delete after a week. I’m pretty sure it isn’t some other plugin because both sites are running the exact same plugins.

I wonder if anyone else has ever tried to do the same thing in a WP MU environment?

Mystery solved by user error. None of the feeds are showing a featured image, which seems a little strange, so I scoured the settings again and found the drop-down to select “excerpt and featured” and expect this to solve the problem.

BTW, I’ve a suggestion: we should be able to delete specific posts. Instead we can only prevent individual posts from being deleted.

I’m not talking about the shortcode. I’m talking about the Feed to Post and I have chosen that option. Check out Nesbitt Realty.

Everything under Local News is generated by shortcode. Everything under Recent Updates is generated by Feed to Post. The image that is showing in the Recent Updates is my default image when there is no featured image.

I was able to determine that the fatal errors were appearing on sites where I had uploaded a custom template, but that template was evidently wiped out and/or erased when the update happened. Now I’m just going to default.

I also notice that the RSS/feed images are not showing up as featured images on the posted feeds.

I selected “give me all” or some such variation. What’s bizarre is that it started working without any changes by me. I’m suspecting that there was some sort of hiccup related to my caching program.

I’ve made no changes to any settings but today I notice that posts started popping up. Almost there Smithers. Now it would be nice if the excerpts or text would appear in the posts.

That would be exactly what I would want . . . if it actually happened. I’m not sure why it’s not happening.

I suppose I need to try it with just one feed. I have many feeds. All I can tell you is that with many feeds I am doing the exact same thing as you demonstrate, but when I click fetch feeds there is a long pause and then the message says “There were no new feed items to add.” And nothing appears in manage posts.
