The registered-only plugin seems like a really good idea. Does it just provide a blank screen to unregistered-users? [I know, I should test it myself!] I’d like to be able to show *something* “hospitable” to visitors.

I also like the idea of a local installation, though the backup issue is a good one. I’ll investigate those options as well.

Beel, thanks for the help! I can make CSS adjustments, I just didn’t know where the CSS was for the contact form. Your advice that it’s included in the plugin itself is all I need. I wasn’t intending that anyone would re-write CSS for me, just needed some advice on where to look and go from there. [That’s what I meant by “troubleshoot” – sorry if that wasn’t clear.] ??

I think it looks really great! I tried unsuccessfully to use WP to build a portfolio site a few months ago, but I grew frustrated. The site you built looks great.

However, I’m confused. I thought the menu on the left side was a sidebar… is it just html or frames?

I like the design.

Two issues for me (using IE)
– can’t scroll down
– there appears to be a lot of space between the category heading, and the category items. Maybe a CSS thing?

Other than those items, I really like the layout!

It would be best to upgrade your WP to the newest version, 1.5.2. It solves lots of important security problems, and might fix your trackback problems as well. Good luck!

IE6… looks good! I like the hexagonal detail, they look like jewels! Only thing is that the sidebar is somewhat hard to read… the pink type is small, and on top of the hex’s it is somewhat hard to read. But other than that, quite nice!

I think the font size of the sidebar text is probably OK… body text could maybe go up a point… just my .02. Once you have several posts on the page, it’s going to look really crowded.
