In reply to: Dashboard defectiveHi Esmi,
I followed your advice and changed “wp_capabilities” for my user_id exactly to your spec. No change.I downloaded a new twentyten, as that is my theme, not twentyeleven, put that in with nothing changed except the styles.css file, still nothing in my dashboard except Posts, Media, Comments, Profile and Tools.
I looked through all the files and they all look normal to me. I wonder how to fix this?
Aside from my stylesheet and uploads, the site is all fresh files, and the DB has only changed according to your advice above.
It worked fine in the older version for a long time.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Dashboard defectiveOK, thanks, will try after dinner.
Hope it works, if not I’ll be back for more advice later.
Many thanks for all the advice, WP is great when it works, but when you hit one of these odd bumps it makes you want to tear out your hair.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Dashboard defectiveI just added 3.4.2, updated the database as per screen instructions, and still the short list of options on my dashboard.
I would like to repair the site, but can’t without my dashboard.
