Thanks China. That you would consider using it is a big complement to me. Some of the trickery and guesswork I’ve employed to get it to look this way should probably be addressed before I would release on the WP community at large, though.

Ok, found a solution…

The runPHP plugin.

Now I can use the “<?php bloginfo(‘stylesheet_directory’); ?>/images/stars/3.gif” option.

Thanks for the reply. So there is no (easy) way inside a post to reference images to make them come from the images directory of the current theme? So that from within the post the image reference is sensitive to the active them, yielding the appropriately-style images.

Maybe there’s something that can be done through CSS.

I know this is an old thread, but I found nothing closer to what I’m hoping for. I’m a new user of WP. Is there any way to effectively eliminate duplication of used nicknames? Perhaps if for users, nickname was locked to match the username, making it unique? Maybe then allow only authors to have nicks (that were then also locked out of the general pool of available names).
