I discovered Elementor has its own show/hide element function. I was able to make that work for the Elementor navigation buttons.
I’m happy with the function of the ‘Go Back’ button. I may just use that alone and remove the Elementor button widgets for restricted navigation. There are too many problems with them.
Elementor widgets do not respect UM shortcode, so I cannot use UM shortcode to control when an Elementor navigation button displays. The style
class="elementor-button"
was also problematic with the UM shortcode in Elementor, as it added padding beyond the widget container.Another challenge is that our conditional button navigation requirements also depend upon the directory from which the /member/ profile is called. Controlling this would require too much customization.
Thank you for all your assistsance!
The ‘Go Back’ button works, thank you!
The [go_back_button_link] shortcode did not function within the Elementor button widget, so it is styled a differently than other buttons. Would also be nice to display a back arrow symbol preceeding the ‘Go Back’ text. But most importantly, the main problem is solved.
I am still trying to sort out navigation on the /member/ profile pages when they are called from different directories. In our public directories, only the ‘Go Back’ button is needed. The additional navigation buttons are necessary in the restricted directory for logged-in users but should not display in the public directories. I know UM has shortcode to hide/show content within a page, but I cannot get it to work with Elementor widgets. Elementor sees the shortcode start, but does not recognize the shortcode end. I can only get UM’s show/hide shortcodes to work in a block of html text.

In reply to: [Constant Contact Forms] CSS for opt-in message on Contact FormYour CSS to expand input box size works great. Thanks.
Yes, we were able to enlarge the teeny-tiny label text with this CSS:
.ctct-form-wrapper .ctct-input-container label { color: #aaa; font-size: 100%;

Ah, I found it. Fixed.
We have not been able to fix this issue. There is no /member/ page in WP Admin > Pages.
We do not show a /member/ page in WP Admin > Pages.
Our UM global settings are:
– Site accessible to everyone
– Enable content restriction for post types: Post, PageWhere can I access settings for the /member/ pages?
Resolved.
The Undefined Offset error appeared with v2.2.0. When I updated to 2.2.1 the error resolved. Thank you!
I discovered if the user has been assigned both a WP Administrator role and the um_admin (Admin) role, they cannot see the profiles of any user with a um_ profile except for the um_member profile. If the user has only the WP Administrator role, they can see all profiles.
What is the purpose of the um_admin user role? Some user records allow an additional um_ role, while other user records only recognize one WP user role.
One more thing … there are no status options like Unpaid or Inactive. The only status that might work is “Pending Approval,” but once approved, there appears to be no way to undo the approval.
That’s the point. We cannot find a way to change the status to “unpaid.” We have changed the user role from Member to Subsctriber, which shoud restrict access to member-only content, but this has no effect. Even with a Subscriber user role, the user continues to have access to restricted content and the status remains “approved.”
