So I just need to get a backup of everything in the wordpress folder containing themes, plug-in data etc and and my SQL database(s), and that’s me sorted? Or should I use the database backup that my automated plug-in does for me instead of the SQL?

One question: What do you mean by pointing the URL, do I do that through FTP?
