  • Hello, I verified my blog today. It was vey simple once I understood what to do. I did it once with the metatag option and this did not work so I tried the the HTML option and worked OK.

These are the steps to take:

    1. Get HTML code name from Google.
    2. Open up a blank text file. Don′t write anyhting on it.
    3. Save it to desktop. When you give the name to the file copy and paste the HTML code name given to you by Google.
    4. The result should be a file with your windows explorer icon (if you use explorer)
    5. Open up your ftp client and go to your public_html file of your main domain.
    6. Upload the HTML file to this folder.
    7. Now you should be able to add on your browser “https://yourdomain/googlecodename” and press enter as if looking for that URL and get a “Uups, page no found!” but still be able to see your domain and the code together on the browser.
    8. Go back to Google Webmasters Tools and clic on the “verify” button.
    9. This is all I did and it worked just fine.

    Hope it helps.
