Thanks, but that doesn’t really do the same thing. That doesn’t let me recall presets from an element across sessions, and it doesn’t let me select from multiple presets.
Even if you could just add a “no container row” option to the section manager, that would be sufficient.
I don’t mean to be picky. I am loving King Composer and SO excited that somebody has finally created a blazing fast page builder(except DIVI Builder, which is the only other one I know that is optimized very well). But I am not sure you are seeing the full power of the presets.
I only mention this feature because I am wanting to switch away from Visual Composer, and I use the presets feature for many client sites. My clients use that feature. It really is a big time saver!
Also, the divider element I mentioned. Any chance of that being added?

And for the record, I AM a fan and support your request of having the King Composer files minimized by the developer. I was only making the above suggestions as an alternative until they do. I’m not saying they shouldn’t do it. I think it would be good for them to do so.
I do wonder though if they keep it this way because of their API and easier developer access? They seem to be huge supporters of developers to want to extend KC.

Well depending on functionality needed, minification and concentation can break things. You always have to be careful. Have you tried to mess with the placement of your scripts in Autoptimize?
Performance optimization isn’t an exact science, of course. Things can and do go wrong, and you have to adjust. However, don’t get hung up on Pagespeed scores or other “scores”. The score means virtually nothing. What matters is user experience.
I’m a huge fanatic when it comes to site performance and optimization. But getting a perfect score doesn’t always mean your site is perfectly optimized. In fact, there are times when the suggestions made using Pagespeed can HURT the way your site performs. So don’t get too stuck on the performance score.

Why can’t you install a plugin to do it for you? There are lots of great ones out there. You don’t have to manually minify every time a plugin is updated as the caching plugin can handle it for you.

Thank you. I am aware of the section manager and already use it. But it is too high level as sometimes I don’t want to have to insert a whole section. If I just want to insert an icon preset into a column, I don’t want to insert a whole section with a row around it. I just want the element.
Or am I missing something? Can I save JUST an element, without any rows around it, in the section manager? If that is the case, I can maybe make it work. But I haven’t seen how to do that.
I just want to be able to add an element and only an element, then select a preset for that element from a dropdown box or something.

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Disable Yoast? Thanks for the reply! I don’t intend to keep Yoast, honestly. Part of the reason I’m looking at the SEO Framework and a couple of others to fill in the gaps, is because I don’t like what Yoast has become. Powerful plugin, way too bloated and too many ads and popups, etc.
I happen to be a Genesis owner, so I’m a fan of it already. Just trying to figure out what I’m going to use on my production sites to replace Yoast. Some things are still great for me in Yoast like redirects and bulk tag editing. So I’m keeping an eye on things!
Thanks for the detailed reply! Hope I didn’t hijack the thread to much! Keep up the good work!

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Disable Yoast? So are you saying that SEO Framework will disable it’s OWN output, or the output of Yoast?
Can SEO Framework import everything from Yoast so I can disable it?

In reply to: [WP Meta SEO] Resource usage, integration with another pluginThanks! I look forward to seeing this plugin evolve. The batch image meta editing is what brought me to this plugin, and it has already improved so much.
I’ll be sure to pass along any other questions I have, but thanks again for the replies! Cheers!

In reply to: [WP Meta SEO] Resource usage, integration with another pluginThanks for the reply ??
The features I’m missing in Meta SEO are things like the noindex functionality for telling search engines not to index individual pages, plus the options for home page meta, sitemap functionality, etc. Even if you didn’t put them on the post edit page, but had a bulk editor for things like the noindex, include in sitemap, etc.
I used to use Yoast for everything, but it has just gotten too bloated and way too many ads and interruptions. I can activate your plugin AND the SEO Framework and still have 10 less HTTP requests on the post edit page than Yoast has! I realize that the more features you add, the more load it has. But I really like some of the newer options like yours!
I’d love to use just one plugin, so the more you can add the better. I did see, and I’m excited about, hearing you are adding 404 handling and redirects. Those were two more requests I had, but I saw they were coming.
Keep up the good work!
