Hi, one more…

I have a fresh WP install, no other plugins installed yet – AFG (v3.3.4) installed and running fine but only have the same: only two settings for default and advanced, all others are missing…

I love this plugin and it would be great if we could get it to work again…

I’m not quite clear what exactly you’re trying to do here, sorry – but it seems you’ll need to query for your post type more specifically.

just to report back —?I’m up and running with this now ?? YAY ?? ??
tried a few different options – but nothing was as nice to use as the wonderful visual-form-builder!!

So I decided NOT to give up and do the whole trouble shooting approach again, deleting plugin once more, table cleared from DB, etc… etc… and it worked! ??
Not sure what caused this odd problem but just happy I’m back to normal with it now … phew ??

Matthew, yes, that is what’s baffling me….

I’ve used the plugin on a number of client sites – using my server as dev server, to get sites setup, themes completed, plugins configured and so on… then move onto client server. So I’ve always used my server first – and everything was fine – even when sites were then ported over to some odd hosting, some issues with other bits – but never the visual form builder.

Now this site – is one of my domains, on my server again… and it’s not working… no idea what it could be…

Could it have something to do with the latest WP update at all?
I’ve not yet done my rounds of updating my client sites to v3.3.1, so they’re all v3.3 at the moment (visualFormBuilder working fine) – and now I’m reluctant to do the upgrade, in case this is the issue… could that be the case?

That is the only thing I can think of as the only difference here is that this site (eyelearn.org) is the only one I’ve updated to v3.3.1 so far – and is the one where I’m getting the blank emails…!?

tried a few more times to install plugin again, created various new forms – all with the same result….

anyone have any suggestions at all for me? I really like this plugin and would love to use it for this site – but don’t know what else to do…?! HELP….

just to report back…. ~ after all this ~ it proved to be a blank line at the end of my wp-config.php file which caused all the trouble….

I was sure I had checked that…. at some point…. must have been doing some silly overwrites while going round in circles… :-\

I am on a VPS – though I am not an expert in server admin by a long shot… luckily the tech support guys are brilliant and always help me when I reach my limits… ??

So hopefully they can help me get this all done and fixed ?? Will report back and mark this post as resolved as soon as I get there ??

Just had a look at my server and the domain/hosting settings and I can’t seem to find anything relating… ? Is this a server settings I need to check, or will this need to be included in the .htaccess file?

sadly the problem is back and very oddly – the RSS link in my footer works just fine in Safari, also works fine when subscribing to the feed via a feed reader (eg Reeder) – but in other browsers (Chrome/Firefox) – the same issue is back… ??

tried the rss fix plugins again, no luck…

just to report back – managed to fix it… I did try the fix-rss-feed plugin – didn’t fancy setting permissions for all files to have the white space removed so I decided to try the long and time-consuming approach of manually doing it.

Going through about 250-odd files, main WP files, within wp-admin, and mainly the includes folders – was surprised to find some <?php ?> tag unclosed – and lots of the files had the empty tail end lines…
SO I went through them all – and voila… error fixed – all ok.

I found the plugin useful for pinpointing all files with the space to be deleted – and it took a while but it’s working.
