In reply to: Payment ButtonMy advice is to get clients to pay is to email the invoice with paypal payment button. Paypal accepts all credit cards. The plugin I use is called Sliced Invoices. Also you can use a paypal button plugin that will allow you to just place the pay button anywhere on the site.

In reply to: Unable to find an iframe with facebook violationDownload a plugin tool called String Locator. Select the option to search all of wordpress files then type in iframe or something more specific to what you are looking for and it will show in a list. Be sure to pick the right one to delete. It will take you straight to the edit page and from there you can delete it. This tool comes in very handy.

In reply to: Links have stopped workingActually just change that setting to anything then change it back to your original setting. This fixed that for me one time. The external links may be a different problem.

In reply to: How to create shared space for members-only to exchange resourcesYes. This is possible using a few plugins. You would have assign the teachers a certain role then assign pages to that role. Only the users assigned to that role will see those pages.

I have one last suggestion for you. Replace the WordPress core files manually. Especially the wp-admin directory. I think I remember being stomped on this same issue. I also questioned the database. The automatic update does not replace every file of the core files. Do not write over the wp-config file or the wp-content file, you will need those. Better yet download them to your computer if you decide to try this.

In reply to: All changes going to mysite/wp instead of mysiteI know this might sound funny but try again with a different browser or incognito mode. This may be a cache issue, especially if the files are truely moved back to the correct folder.

In reply to: Live Chat PluginI use a chat script called Crafty Syntax. It is a script, not a plugin. I must say it is a pretty powerful script. For instance you could set up different departments of chat support. The chat alerts can received by mobile devices. No download of app needed to receive chat alerts on mobile. You would create and manage separate logins for your support team. The chat department logs into the chat script, example http:mysite/crafty_syntax_chat. I find this to be a cool chat tool to have because you could hire support all over the country and they could work from their phones. Although you may not get quality support. The script also allows you to view the city and state of the chat visitor, plus many more functions. The cons about this nice script is that the chat window is old style compared to modern chat windows. But this can be customized to look modern.

In reply to: Error messagesAh ok..so does the error go away after switching the theme? If it does then you may malware on the theme itself. Run a malware test at sucuri sitecheck. Run a test on each theme. After the first test be sure to retest using the link in the sentence at the bottom of the page. The sentence with the link reads “This site was just scanned. Force a Re-scan to clear the cache.”

In reply to: Error messagesGood job. I should have added to test for the error after each of those steps just to pinpoint the problem area. Just keep it in mind for the next time if any.

In reply to: Error messagesMake sure WordPress core files and theme is updated. Test to see if you still get the error by switching the theme.
