I have to second Witty. I use it, and love it. Plus you can easily style it with CSS and you can use xhtml in the indidvual quotes, which can be a big bonus.

CSS is not a toy.
HTML is going to be slowly phased out in favor of new markups. You wouldn’t use the orginal 0.1 HTML spec from 1994 to build a new page these days would you? And I hate to burst your bubble but the table page layout is a hack designers came up with to place items in a page where they wanted them. The orginal purpose of the table tag was to layout data, not pages.
I’d say that before you start calling CSS a toy or utter garbage, you’d better spend some time getting to know your history and where markup specs are going.
After all, why do you think it’s called CSS2 and XHTML1.1?

The real question should be are you writing vaild xhtml? Since WP does try to make valid xhtml.

Dave’s site is talking about HTML. WP uses XHTML which is more than a little different. Without the ‘/’ your XHTML won’t validate.

That ‘/’ is a closing tag, it’s a good thing. It should be there.

Personally I like color (I have proof, just look at my site). Dark, black themes really don’t do it for me. That said, I like this dark version. It’s the first simple layout I’ve seen that I’ve really liked the look of. Good job.

I actually like it, but I have to agree with Cypher. My theme is a hack of Wuhan, which is based on Kubrick. All I did was (mostly) change graphical elements and colors to make it extremely unique.

Well, out of the past five post you’ve had some people try to help you on two. But I do have to admit, you ask some pretty tough questions (at least they are over my head). It might take a while to find the answers you are looking for, as I’m sure the folks who can answer the really tough questions are already hip-deep in there own issues, and only come around every few days.

I’m guessing you’ll have to play around a bit in either sidebar.php or archive.php using something from https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Template_Tags I’ve taken a quick peek, but nothing is jumping out at me. Perhaps some great guru will point the way.

To show just two posts on the front page in the Dashboard goto Options > Reading, change Blog Pages show at most to 2.
When anyone clicks on the category it should show a summary of all posts in that category.

I use Dreamhost, and have been for years, so they get my recommendation. But YMMV

Have you checked to see if ZenCart will work? I’ve been looking at it, but I’m not sure about standards compliance.
