Thanks for the advices.
I had a try with this biased plugin, and the layout then worked really properly, but it slowed down the site. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/tiled-gallery-carousel-without-jetpack/ I don’t know why, but it just overpassed the trouble. Although it is not directly the case, I will mark this topic as solved, I finally changed my mind using this layout for too much troubles.

I have tried it already, no changes.
I created again a gallery for you to see, with around 1024 or 1280 images, around 150ko and 72dpi. That’s really creepy, and as a photographer I hope I will be able to provide much better qualities. But lets see first the issue.

Except from this display issue, when using carousel, it is extremely slow (even after I replaced big pictures by real small ones)
I don’t know if that can be a reason. That’s why I changed for a link to file instead of carousel. But now, when opening the picture from the gallery, on the picture, the link given is for example: https://i1.wp.com/fabienqueloz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/AnyaR056.jpg
Why is it opening it from a wordpress location? I don’t want to have wordpress links within my address bar, as I host the files at Justhost.com
