In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Sitemap 404Nevermind, I fixed it by switching on off the sitemap in Yoast settings…
I will always fail to understand this kind of random problems…Hi there @webtoffee apologies for the delay in replying.
Indeed, I use a plugin called nitropack which does all sort of optimizations, including scripts and cache.
I cannot disable it as it is very useful. Do you suggest to disable it temporarily, scan again and reactivate it or to disable it for good?Thank you
FabrizioHi @webtoffee thank you for the clarifications.
As for the last point, why do you think they have not been found?
Considering that I see both Analytics and Pixel tracking people, there is never been a day without at least 1 view.Thank you

In reply to: [Media Sync] Selecting extensionYea, thank you, a filter for the extensions would make this plugin perfect.

In reply to: [Media Sync] Selecting extensionHi guys,
thank you to both of you for your help!
Eventually, @erolsk8 the first solution you gave me worked like a charm! ??
Thanks
FabrizioHi again Hristo,
eventually I did import only .jpg and png and did exactly like you suggested and worked like a charm! Thanks
I’ll be waiting for your suggestion about the the other extensions.I would like to clarify 1 more point about the SG optimizer’s optimization features.
Would you say it’s better lossy or lossless? If lossy, which percentage?
The website at the moment has a good mix of jpg and png images.Thank you

In reply to: [Media Sync] Selecting extensionOh,
by the way, I use SG optimizer to generate the .WEBP copies of the images.
Thank you Hristo,
that’s very interesting. I think I am so close to the solution.
I tried media-sync and I understand what you suggest which I was eager to do.
However, apart from finding many files which are not images (.css, .ico, etc), it also finds .webp files.I reckon I should leave this too and just import all the .PNG and .JPG files. Is that correct?
Importing the .webps to the media library would just clog the library, wouldn’t it?Thank you
FabrizioThank you Hristo.
I just deactivated Shortpixel and left SGO ??
I have got 1 more question but it is about specific images of my homepage who are not served as WEBP ans slow down the page a lot.
May I ask in this thread?Thank you

In reply to: [Pre* Party Resource Hints] Check on my settingsThank you Sam,
you have been really kind to reply to this.
Unfortunately that is too complicated for me, so I will just leave it as it is.Thanks

In reply to: [Pre* Party Resource Hints] Check on my settingsI see what you mean now, thank you.
I would love you to be me, to make a brilliant job on the website, but unfortunately I am just myself, very bad at web developing (I normally work with marketing).
I somehow built this website and I am trying to improve is as much as I can.Anyway, when you say this “and replace the inline CSS with a link element which has your google font you need” is there any good reference/blog article/guide to get my hands dirty and try to do it by myself? I have no idea how to do it ??

In reply to: [Pre* Party Resource Hints] Check on my settingsThank you Sam,
I absolutely agree with you and that is what I meant in my previous reply.
As for your second point, it the inline CSS to remove the following?
<link rel='stylesheet' id='zn_all_g_fonts-css' href='//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Montserrat%3Aregular%2C500%2C700&ver=c3986fdf6d504c57c617b89152f4cef9' type='text/css' media='all' />
If I do, I will not see anymore the Montserrat font indeed.
Maybe I did not get it. Can you please tell me more?Thank you

In reply to: [Pre* Party Resource Hints] Check on my settingsHi Sam,
thank you very much for your help and the prompt reply.
I changed exactly what you suggested. Honestly it did not miracously improved a lot in Pagespeed, still fighting to get a better LCP on mobile, but at least now I know that’s the best I can do on this side and I need to improve other things.
There is just 1 more doubt left: as you can see in the screenshots I have 4 fonts on Preload but none of them (I guess) relates to Montserrat, which is the main and only normal font (i.e. not icons) used in the website.
Should I preload that too? Do you know where I can find its URL?Thank you

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Problem with facebook cacheHi Priscilla,
Thank you, I know the tool, and I tried it, but unfortunately as I wrote, even scraping the URL when it’s live but before the social post is published, doesn’t work.
The social post keeps showing the first preview it generated, i.e. the 404 page preview.
Any other idea?
Thank you
