In reply to: [phpBB Topics Portal] [Plugin: phpBB Topics Portal] Excluding certain forumsYou can find the number in the url when you click on that particular portion of the forum.
For example:
https://pixelsmashers.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=25
Look after the f. If I wanted to exclude that forum it would be 25. If I looked at another url and saw it was like 13 or something and I wanted to exclude both 25 and 13 I would write in the exclude forum list in the widget:
5/13
I hope that helps (Note: I am not the author of this plugin).

In reply to: [WP-Polls] [Plugin: WP-Polls] Failed to Verify referrerStill getting “Failed To Verify Referrer” after voting… Anyone?
Yeah, I’m in the same boat. I didn’t update to wordpress to 3.3 and I am on 3.2.1. However,. I am going to update to 3.3 and see what happens, but atm after updating the plugin it just stopped working :(.

In reply to: [WP phpBB Bridge] [Plugin: WP phpBB Bridge] Cross posting issuesAny response to this? A simple “we are looking into it”, or something would be fine just so I know you read this post and whatnot. I don’t mean to be pushy, it’s just i haven’t gotten a reply in almost a week now.

In reply to: [WP phpBB Bridge] [Plugin: WP phpBB Bridge] Problems with test siteOkay, I found somethings that don’t seem to be there. So, maybe this is a feature request, but here are the new issues I experienced:
1- Updating a news post in wordpress does not merge with the original forum post made from wordpress. Instead it just makes a new forum post.
2- posts made in phpbb do not carry over to wordpress.

In reply to: [WP phpBB Bridge] [Plugin: WP phpBB Bridge] Problems with test siteI managed to fix the first problem with the URL, but I still can’t get cross posting working even after a new post. Do I need to create a new category or something? I have categorized checked in and it doesn’t seem to work.
edit:
I fixed it hehe. I didn’t have myself check as an author. I though it was already checked in, but it wasn’t. Yeah, I know a bunch of silly mistakes on my part, but that’s the whole process of getting familiar with the mod :).
After I verify a few things, I am going to go to use old theme on the test site and start playing around with the functions. Do you think it is possible to replicate the top of my site using this plugin? (See how there is an avatar, rank, etc there).

In reply to: [WP phpBB Bridge] [Plugin: WP phpBB Bridge] Problems with test siteApologies for double post, but my edit window expired on my previous post:
Problem 1 fixed for me – Forum links:
The link issue has to do with my forum link to UCP.php. Before I had the full path to ucp, then I changed it to the url link, but it didn’t work, so and I then changed it to ../ and it worked. Here’s more of a break down of how I fixed it:
original path:
/home/content/f/a/c/fac7orx/html/prac1/ucp.php
I changed it to this, but it didn’t work:
pixelsmashers.com/prac1/ucp.php
So, this it what fixed it for m
e:
../prac1/ucp.php
So, yeah I manage to fix one of the problems. It was a silly mistake on my end heh. However, I am still having issues with cross posting.
I cannot seem to get cross posting working on the forum.
edit:
Also, the below works:
https://pixelsmashers.com/prac1/ucp.php
I guess since I forgot https:// it didn’t work with the url.
Still need help with problem 2 – Cross posting:
Anyway, yeah, I still can’t get cross posting working atm.

In reply to: [WP phpBB Bridge] [Plugin: WP phpBB Bridge] Cross posting in new version?Woah! Great job! I am probably going to make the switch in about a month, but now it’s not a question of if, but when :D.

In reply to: [WP phpBB Bridge] Feature For Next UpdateI don’t think they should make it too complicated, but there are some features that are important to some ppl. For example, Cross-posting is a bog deal on my site and some users may leave or get very upset without this feature. It’s one of main reasons I, and possibly a few others, are holding off on this mod.
The author of wpu literally left us all without any warning and then his website got blasted with spam. However, despite wpus complexity it got the job done before it was outdated. So, I agree that perhaps somethings may be a bit much, but other things will help make the plugin a more feature rich experience for those that need one.

In reply to: [WP phpBB Bridge] Add a PM link or Username clickableApologies for the double post, but I misread the request. I am not sure if what I wrote about is already in place, but that would be a nice edition as well. However, my site also takes you to the user’s profile when you click on their user name (using old WPU) in their comment. You may want to check that out:
example post:
https://pixelsmashers.com/?p=9630
(click on anyone’s name)
Again, this is using the out-dated WPU mod.

In reply to: [WP phpBB Bridge] Add a PM link or Username clickableI would like to see this as well. If you create an account on my site and login you will see the message button with the amount of messages you have received. You can refer to that as an example if you want. I am still using WPU atm, so the way it is implemented is probably different, but you may get an idea of how it could work.

I would also like to personally see a way to display the user rank image, check members, and display a button to check new posts on the forum (see pixelsmashers.com after logged in and look at the top next to the avatar for setup example).
