I’m trying the same, but the featured image always fills the screen. I’ve tried experimenting like this, but I’m clearly on the wrong track?

Fixed it! Was the peekaboo bug again – added this to the affected object class:

<?php if ($ie||$ie7): ?>height: 1%; /* peekaboo */<?php endif; ?>
