Hi Marius, I have gone through the error log and I dont see any WP errors that correspond with this – in fact, there are no errors or the dates that I ran the plugins at all.

    Any other ideas here?

Marius – the Ajax thumbnail resizer didnt work, as you can see, it just broke the image

Hey Sam -0 it is https://www.invurt.com … not on responsive theme until I can work this out. Manually doing this isnt an option … theres 2100 posts and it’d take me a year to do them, there has to be a solution whereby you can just change the image size and run something to actually rezize them in the page?

Marius – as I mentioned in the original post, I have tried two different thumbnail builders and it has not solved the problem, it just breaks the images in the page and they dont display. Or are you saying that the Ajax builder will fix this issue?

Anyone? This is beginning to become pretty important as I have to swap over the site theme in the next few days …

Sorry, and one other questions – is there a way to bypass page speed service at all? I saw something about modpagespeed however as far as I am aware Bluehost does not have this mod installed so ?ModPagespeed=off didnt really do much, homepage was still cached even when I changed the theme …

Jack – I tried all of those, as per my initial post, I actually had used that page as one of the references for troubleshooting – none of the fixes worked. I cant even get the errors to log properly.

Tara, manual update is my next move as nothing else seems to work. Feels like a bit of a radical solution for an issue that has sprung out of nowhere and has so many fixes it could be … ugh.

Wow it was great to get such useful feedback on this!

I disabled the plugin, I doubt I will be using it again, as it is so bug ridden.

As I stated above, I am using Total Cache – disabling this is not an option as it is a high traffic website and caching is required.

Its starting to get a bit ridiculous – it suddenly switched back to the regular desktop theme without warning a few hours after I posted this, now, tonight, it has all of a sudden reverted back to the mobile theme on desktop. I have done all of the above processes and worked with all the fixes that have been posted in other areas, and yet it is switching back to the mobile theme again? It looks terrible on a desktop and it is impacting my site.

Even disabling it does not help – it still either remains or switches back and forth, Im starting to wish that I had never actually installed it, if it has this many problems.

Can someone give me some more feedback please, as to what else I can try to fix this issue other than what I have already tried?

    (@facter)

Okay even more crazier – the plugin has now been disabled for several hours and the issue is still present … Can’t say I understand this but I need to try and fix it as soon as possible, does anyone at all have any suggestions in how I can fix this?

I understand this has probably happened before, but changing the permalinks is not something that I will be doing, so I need to find out if you have a fix in mind for this.

Firstly, I just dont want to touch permalinks at the moment, because my website is a news based website, in which actually having the data in the URL has a purpose. My content is not evergreen content, but daily content.

Secondly, I just dont want to play around with permalink structure, because I dont want to have to put over 3000 301 redirects onto my website, or even play around with messing up any of the SEO ive worked on.

Surely you can offer another solution rather than just changing my permalink structure?

I also getting the exact same things, when clicking on the “Add gallery” from within the post editor all I get is a blank page

The error in the console reads

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error) https://www.invurt.com/nextgen-attach_to_post?ver=358-25336

Can we get some idea as to a solution for this? Im now having to use shortcodes to insert galleries, not optimal.

Okay, no dice with adjusting that setting. I ran the consol and got this error on the Operation Interrupt

Not sure why this 500 error is popping up … but you’re probably right, looks like something on the hosting.

    Hmmm.

Well, Im not cliking out of it – its running in an independant windows without me touching it.

Unfortunately, it also has no pattern to it – it could get 45 records in, or 7, it even got up to 117 out of 177 … so there is no one single image that it seems to actually be having a problem with.

I have increased my php timeout in the php.ini mysql.connect_timeout in php.ini fromk 60 to 180 to see if that will fix it, and if that doesnt work I’ll consult my web host as to what may be going on.

Im having the same issue here and would like to be able to do this – did you ever find a solution, or can anyone else help?

Nothing shows up on google and I get a lot of seo errors in regards to this, as it only uses the default file name not the tags … it would seem to me to be a no-brainer to use those instead of the filename?

    Thread Starter facter

    (@facter)

Okay, I tried the last option first, and no dice on that

In the console I got the following errors

I then removed both the javascripts from the exclusion list and tried it again, but, alas, it still gave the same error.

I then tried disabling javascript optimisation altogether – and, well, it did obviously work … however, the main reason I wanted to use the plugin was for javascript optimisation – Id like to find a way to get it working and have that in place – its the metric Im trying to fix up ??

    Thanks again for your help!
