The Nisarg theme is compatible with PHP 7.3. The error can be because of one of the plugins used on your website. Please temporarily deactivate all plugins on your website. And activate plugins one at a time to find the error causing plugin.

Hello @alasani,

To find out what causes the screen of death on your site, you can install and activate debug bar plugin. Upon activation it will display errors. Once you find the culprit you can deactivate the debut bar plugin.

As per your requirement stated above- ” You need the tagline to start with uppercase, and the next words in lowercase – “,

So you add following css to the Advanced css section in customizer.

site-description {
text-transform: none;
}

And after adding this in your tagline, type the first word starting with Uppercase and then other words in lowercase(the way you want).

Default setting for tagline is Capitalize. So all words starts with Capital letter. But if you will set it to none, the tagline will appear the way you will type.

To avoid caps in Nisarg tagline, you can add following CSS code in Customizer > Addition Css section and then save it.

.site-description {
text-transform: lowercase;
}

I think you are using some plugin for menu or may be you have installed Jetpack and enabled its mobile version.

To find out the cause of the problem, first disable all the plugins and check your website. And if after that if it looks perfect, find out the plugin which is causing problem by enabling them one by one.

From page.php file in theme, comment get_sidebar()( ex. //get_sidebar() ) function or delete the line. And you will get page without sidebar.

Thanks @joshralling for taking time to review the theme.

I would like to let you know that the menu problem has nothing to do with theme update. It’s a browser caching issue and to resolve it you need to clear the browser cache memory.

The new version is improved version. It has better display of header image on higher resolution screen (having resolution higher than 1600px) and supports multilevel menu ( previous version supported only two levels).

You can create a copy of the function having the above code with different name in different name (ex. nisarg_posted_om_home() ) in template-tags.php. Call the appropriate function on index and single page. But do this changes in child theme and only if you have little bit coding knowledge. Otherwise you can break your site.
