I use gutenberg, and dont use yoast, however you reported the bug and should fixed soon. ??

I think your mean is classic (again block editor gutenberg)
However, if you find some bugs in plugins, simple check that all plugins are up to date before update wordpress, after update, sign out & clear cache of your browser and try again, if bug is not fixed, create a bug report in plugin page.

For now yoast say it support 5.3 and no one report as this problem.
For now a other user say have problem with yoast & html in classic not work. So its may be a bug.

1. Disable /?s= in robots.txt by:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /?s=*

2. Block by htaccess

Remember change bbb.com by your url (google.com for example)

Yes i also tested theme and no problem, try reinstalling it, may be helpful.

It is based on setting of your theme, you can add sidebar for both posts and pages, for example.

Do you installed any security plugin?

What is your mean from text editor? Mean classic?

It may a plugin made this problem, as i tested theme and everything is ok, can you disable one by one & check?

Do you use any custom editor? Block or meta? If yes, deactive and check again.

(Custom blocks, Yoast seo, advanced custom fields or any other plugins that show custom setting in edit screen)

Please 1.clean cache of site, 2.signout, 3.clear browser cache, then login and check, it should be fixed…

@mikevendia you can also deactive it and update after fix release, may this week be added. WP update is new so may take a while for bug fixes. (They should do bugfix before main update, however)

You can use some features, as firewalls, for example block post methods that not inclusive http referer & http language accept, how ever you should save whole of your site not only search.

Looklike happened by a plugin or php, do you tested plugins? Mean disable one by one then check error is fixed or no?

Hi @kikomk ??, my suggestion is, get comfortable with php upgrades, because wordpress is great in compatibility with PHP (as in 5.3 added support for php 7.4), but if you have a lot of plugins, update wordpress a few days later in major updates. Plugin updates are usually released before a new wordpress release comes (with a beta release they should fix bugs days before main update), so Check that all plugins are up to date before updateing WordPress.

In short, before any major updates:
– if you have many plugins, first update them, however its better wait a week.
– use uptodate plugins, use simplest ways for better support. Try combine features in less number of plugins.
– after update:
1.Clear cache of site
2.Sign out
3.Clear cache of browser

In select between being updated or more stable…
When you have many plugins or systems that not up to date, better to select stability and update to major versions after a week or even month.

For now php 7.1-7.3 & wp 5.2.4 are acceptable.

For me, a updated software is Preferred, so i used auto update for wordpress and php 7.3 with latest minor updates.
