  • Yes and we hated it in beta, resisted updates, etc… on active sites even started using other CMS solutions for new projects. We have been working to adapt to this but new issues keep popping up and it’s costing us a fair amount of money. I know companies that are worse off than us though.

@steven Stern – Yes the editor sucks but having the classic editor as a plugin does not fix the myriad problems that the editor causes with other software, plugins and themes that were created through the BUNGLED introduction of this editor that NOBODY wanted.

It would have been one thing if they introduced the new editor as a plugin and somehow collected usage statistics to justify further development. However this is not what happened.

Most of us have used wordpress for years since it WAS a stable development platform that we could rely on. With the introduction of Guttenberg that is no longer the case.

I can’t speak for others but forcing this editor on us has cost my company and my clients thousands of dollars and for our developers it has been like trying to hit a moving target.

So take your classic editor plugin and… eh… forget it … not your fault this fiasco happened.

Also looking for a good toplist solution for wordpress.
