A few days ago you said “Do Not Delete or you’ll lose info”. Too late, deleted and re-installed weeks ago for troubleshooting. That’s not the first time I deleted to troubleshoot, but it is the 1st time the data was lost.
So now over 35 galleries and hundreds of pics must be imported AND labelled, AGAIN?

My apologies, I understand it’s a ‘free’ plugin, but when hours and days are wasted to re-do the work that took hours and days to do, the logical thing is to find a different plugin or even use wp native.

Sadly, this is the week I really need those galleries with one of our biggest concert events of the year.

Tried importing original gallery, still nothing. Interestingly, the tags showed up and image slots, Just no images.

If it is sql and database issue, many of us have no access, nor do administrators want us messing with that.
Isn’t there anything else?
We have major event in two weeks where those pictures will play a huge role.

Perhaps Photocrati would be better off by giving Mr. Rabe some kind of commission or something to make it right for long time users. Or ask us for $5 to get the older version.

Seems to be my experience that when someone does a “major upgrade” to their plugin, it wipes out my site. Especially if they’re not the original creator (@alex rabe).
If there’s a major upgrade photocrati style, I suggest they offer another version compatible with Mr. Rabe’s foundations for the rest of us.
Once again, I delete everything, download plugin, upload all files via ftp, and still nada. All albums/galleries gone.

As I stated, I didn’t want to bother Sayontan because I’m not really sure it’s a theme problem. Our other website that uses Suffusion doesn’t have that folder.
I was kind of hoping someone else might have a simple answer as to whether or not thumbnail cache folder can be deleted or what the source is.

unfortunately, I rarely check the email associated with this account, so apologies for the delay.

I created a new attribute (#_LATT{location_desc} to work around the issue for now.

There’s also an issue with links inside event notes, i.e., half of the code appears on main events page and messes with the format.

Probably something I did, or like I said, that all-in-one events I previously had, but since deleted. Keep seeing references in different places.

GoDaddy issue, I tweeted ‘We should put on the front page, in big font, ‘This moment of page silence brought to you by GoDaddy’. Got response real quick. After several e-mails back and forth, which solved nothing, I finally deactivated (and deleted) some plugins, still white pages.

It may be pure coincidence that they simultaneously fixed it right when I got all W3 stuff deleted, ya never know. All I know is the site is tremendously faster now. Then again, I did delete a lot of widgets too.

In any event, there are several steps to getting rid of W3, moreso than just ‘uninstalling’.

Here they are….

To uninstall W3 total cache plugin, you need to follow following procedure:

Delete W3 total Cache plugin from Wp-content/plugins folder

Remove this line from Wp-config file (define(‘WP_CACHE’, true) )

Delete advanced-cache.php, db.php, wp-total-cache-config.php and delete entire w3tc folder from wp-content folder.

Check .htaccess file and if you see any code added by w3 total cache plugin, do remove it.

Thank you Akira, your offer is very kind. But it might be easier to return to previous version. Is there any place to find that version I wonder?

Why does this thread say ‘resolved’ if issue is not resolved. Do I really have to go through all those steps akira outlined? Many of us don’t even have access to the SQL tables, let alone the time to change it.
Will this issue be fixed any time soon?
