@gracemarierocha — nope – no response. At present I’m just living with the error.

In reply to: [PHP Compatibility Checker] Scanning doesn’t startSounds good. If you find a PHP scanner that works — let us all know.

In reply to: [PHP Compatibility Checker] Scanning doesn’t start@john-biddle – I see your point. I checked all my plugins this time — shown below sorted by high risk items. Right 3 columns are low, med, high risk. Parentheses just give the origin of the plugin. We wrote (custom) or ‘adopted’ several plugins. We are also fans of S2 Member Framework. The vast majority of their ‘medium’ reports were the same issue (“read entire file into a string”.)

I do, however, like the detail Plugin Inspector provides!

In reply to: [PHP Compatibility Checker] Scanning doesn’t start@john-biddle – lol! Could be. I’ve been reading the Wordfence blog posts about (plugin) Supply Chain attacks (worth a read if you haven’t seen them). So I may be a bit paranoid. Your site had many more plugins to check. In contrast to your experience, when I ran Plugin Inspector the few plugins I checked came up fairly clean — which made these results seem more unsettling.

In reply to: [PHP Compatibility Checker] Scanning doesn’t startMonitoring? Don’t know but an interesting exercise is to install “Plugin Inspector” and run it on the “PHP Compatibility Checker”. I’ll leave it to someone else to comment on results — but I’ve uninstalled it and am looking elsewhere…

In reply to: [PHP Compatibility Checker] Scanning doesn’t startI’m seeing the exact same problem. Also running 4.9.1. My site has 16 plugins but these include 3 or 4 “abandoned” plugins (2 to 4 yrs) that I have had to rename and adopt. I’ve tried scanning for every php version listed. I can’t imagine that there are no deprecated calls. The plugin seems broken.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7 - Dynamic Text Extension] ‘autocomplete:false’ not workingI think it may not have worked because I needed to tag every field with “autocomplete:false”. There does not seem to be a predictable way to make Google Autofill some fields when others are auto-populating from S2 Member data.
With all fields tagged with “autocomplete:false”, I have it working. Example:
[dynamictext dynamictext-341 autocomplete:false id:city class:city “s2Get user_field="city"”]Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Autocomplete offApparently Google now requires
autocomplete:false
.
I couldn’t get “autocomplete:off” to work anymore.Additionally, although I have gotten Contact Form 7 Dynamic Text Extension with S2 Member Shortcodes to work together in these fields, I have not been able to get even
autocomplete:false
to work with those two. Chrome autofill overwrites this URL field with a first name.Example:
[dynamictext* dynamictext-945 autocomplete:false id:testcf7url class:testcf7url "CF7_URL"]
Could be a problem with the Dynamic Text Extension. I’ll post there.

In reply to: [PHP Compatibility Checker] Runs for a few seconds then nothingMe too. Fairly large site – ~500 pages. Testing this on development (older XAMPP 1.7.4) platform. WP version 4.8.3. Installed WP Crontrol. There are no cron events or cron schedule items that seem to be related to this plugin. My live site is running on 7.0 successfully but I think I should be seeing some type of output…

UPDATE: Opened a support ticket for this. This is a known bug that will be fixed in a future release. So I’m closing this.
One of my clients would love this! Any projection on when this will become a major release? (range is fine.)
OK – may have pulled this trigger too quick. I see that this function: http_build_query(), added a 4th parameter in PHP version 5.4. My localhost XAMPP is running an earlier PHP version.
So running on PHP 5.4 appears to be a minimum requirement for ESSB.

In reply to: [Easy Author Image] Can i take over the plugin and add new update? Not sure you will get a response from the author. He seems to have abandoned this plugin. Why not just do it – create a new update and submit it as “Easy Author Image Reloaded”?

In reply to: [Responsive Lightbox & Gallery] upgrade to 1.7.0 broke gallery lightboxThe same thing is true of the 1.7.1 version on my XAMPP localhost install. Image displays centered on dark background but no Javascript effects.
My live site (same website, same update levels) on a Linux install is working fine. One more note – I did have some intermittent problems even with the live site. Tried deactivating and reactivating all plugins but never isolated the cause. In the end it just began working again.(I’m at WP 4.8)
Closing this. I think it’s a localhost thing. Same issue happens with another social sharing plugin.
