how to make the site more attractive?

Photos, images, stuff to look at.

A wad of text without any breaks is fairly tedious to look at, and people will get tunred off if that’s all there is.

Andrew is right about most of what he says, above, however, i think the site looks pretty cruisy as it is. Photos and all that look great, i always like lots of images on sites, they add colour and flavour to the page.
While I am not a design expert, I’d say that you’ve got a good thing going here. Well done!

Nice, fairly easy to read and simple design makes this easy on the eyes… something lacking in quite a few blogs these days. Nice colour scheme especially.

Well, if I can be blunt, I think the font you’re using as your main text is extremely difficult to read. Perhaps a cleaner font would make this easy to understand, and reduce viewer’s eyestrain. Just a thought.
Apart from that the colour and design look pretty sweet. Well done!!

Wow, I seriously hurt my eyes when i went to your site.

It’s too “busy”, too much information to be deciphered out of all the imagery. If it’s possible to tone things down a little, that would make the site easier to read.

Just because you can put lots of design ideas up on the site, doesn’t mean you should. Perhaps you should work on the prinicple that “less is more”.

Still, for a first timer, I can understand your enthusiasm. Enjoy yourself, that’s the key I guess, but if you want people who stumble upon your site to stick around, it has to be easy on the eye and deliver the goods quickly.

Wow, that is sweet!!! I like the colour scheme, its suits the design really well.
Nice site, although I will agree with Chrisber above, I don’t like the word count and reading time items in the posts. Seems a bit redundant if you’ve read to the end and then see just how long it should have taken you…. !!

Anyway, well done.

Looks nice, I like the blue background, although the text colour (white) looks a little harsh over the top of it. Site is quite well designed, I like the look of it overall, so well done!!

I agree with Chrisber, the smaller type can be alittle harder to read easily.

Yeah, maybe it’s just me, but the title logo looks awful. Hurts my eyes just to look at it. There’s something about the thick black lines on white background that just doesn’t sit well as an easy to read website. If I could suggest something, it would be to change the black-on-white look you’ve got going: it’s a strain on the old eyes to read!!!
Regular BOW is okay, but the thickness of the text and lines on the screen are a little offputting.

Just my 2 cents.

I have to say, I went to your site thinking I’d be on it for a few monutes to check out how it looks, etc.

I stayed for a longer time, because I started to read some of your stuff. Interesting!! The site looks really nice, and seems to be fairly consistent in content and style.

I like it, and the images are really cool. Well done!

Looks great. I like the image clarity you’ve got, and the site looks relatively clean and uncluttered with excessive material nobody wants to read.
Admittedly, what you publich isn’t my cup fo tea, but the site looks good, which is what you wanted to know.
And yes, you cans till tell it’s WordPress. ??

Hmm.
here’s my 2 cents.

Looks great.

1 thing: I don’t like the way the current post is bordered by a similarly dark colour to the header (that grey/black), perhaps try a different colour to differentiate.

Below the top post, the rest of the site looks good.

Myself, I prefer a more streamlined website look, visually, and less information confronting the reader upon stumbling onto the site.

Anyway, looks impressive so far!

Look awesome. I went to Europe earlier this year and spent a couple of days in London, taking plenty of photos…. none of which are the same calibre as yours!! Exceptional stuff.
I just wish i had the same patience to capture the same quality of images. My fave is the little lamb jumping. Classic, and yes, it must have taken ages to get that shot.
Well done.
I like the site layout and the colour scheme, although I think the sidebar is a little cluttered… the text seems a little “close” together for my liking, but thats just a personal opinion.
