The font size in the page you link to seems to be set at 75% via the wp-caption-text class. Note that you can only select one of two things, a custom class or a custom style; not both

Hi, @islp. Have you marked the “Allow HTML code rendering in the caption” checkbox on the plugin options page?

As it is a third party plugin it’s probably calling the images directly and thus not passing through the default wordpress function to show the image. We’ll look if something can be done

Please update the plugin to the last version (1.24) and check the new option in the general settings page of the plugin to ignore all the captions from the media library. The setting is disabled by default for backward compatibility.

I’ve been investigating a bit more into that and found an scenario where this would happen: If the custom post type it’s not allowed to have “Custom Fields”. If you created the post type with a plugin like i.e. CPTUI or similar, you can activate the option in the post type definition page.

If you did it within your theme code with register_post_type, you can append ‘custom-fields’ to the ‘supports’ option

If the post type was created by another plugin and it doesn’t allow to customize you may be out of luck, unless you contact the plugin author or try to programatically hook into it to enable the parameter

Yes the plugin supports custom post types (and just tested it to be sure it wasn’t some problem with a wordpress version).

That said, it may be a problem with a third party plugin; specially with pagebuilders like WPBakery, or a custom post type editor with a layer of customizations that don’t play well with this plugin. Yo may try to disable some of those to try to find the culprit

Yes, unfortunately it cannot work automatically with featured images used as background. If you are using a customized theme or can edit it, there are some functions you can use to show the caption in the template (see the plugin documentation for more on that)

Although we have not been able to reproduce the problem, we added additional variable checks to the code. Please update the plugin to the latest version, and please let us know if the warnings are gone and everything works now.

On a side note, it’s possible you’re running wordpress in debug mode, wich is ok for development but you may want to disable it in a live site.

It seems this issue is resolved after three months with no more reply to our response. Feel free to open a new topic if you need more support ??
