Update — I got this to work by hiding the taxonomy metabox in the CPT UI settings. Then I installed ACF and created a field based on the Image Tags taxonomy. In media library, instead of using the CPT UI default metabox to select my categories, I could select the categories using the ACF field.

And voila! The taxonomy post count updated and the tagged images appear in my gallery filter.

If there’s a way to do this without having to use ACF as an “intermediary”, would be great to know for simplicity but at least this approach worked.

Problem resolved. Tracked down a plugin conflict with the latest updates.

I received the same “minimize redirects” suggestion for my site and many of the same sites were listed (px.owneriq.net, ads.yahoo.com, doubleclick).

It turned out they were being added to my site by the Shareaholic plugin I had installed. By logging onto my Shareaholic account on their website, I was able to deselect the option to allow third-party analytics and had no more warnings about the redirects.

I see, sorry for the confusion. It’s very frustrating to get no reply from the developer but I apologize for criticizing you about it.

I’m curious that you replied quickly to CdMonkey about the best way to get assistance but there was never any reply or assistance with this original post. Also, your comment that this references an old version of WP seems to imply that this question will just be ignored going further.

Have parameters been added to the SU shortcode? If not, do you have an ETA when they will be added (as per an earlier forum post)?

I’ve found the solution to assign each option in my checkbox group in my form to an individual checkbox meta key so no change is required. It’s a bit more cumbersome but works fine once set up.
