where can I check my upload settings?

Ok

I figured out that when I post an image, wordpress makes a new folder: wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2008/11

while it should go to:
wp-content/uploads/2008/11

I installed wordpress in my root folder. How and where can I change the posting codes so that all uploaded images an so on are going to:
wp-content/uploads/2008/11
and that there url-tag is https://BLOG/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/PICTURE.jpg
not
https://BLOG/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/PICTURE.jpg

The images appear in the wp-content map, before anyone asks.

I tried that. Nothing changes. I re-uploaded all the wordpress files. I still cannot log in..

I don’t get a cookie error message

When I click “log in” nothing happens. I’m sorry but I don’t know alot about what people are saying on that thread.
