This just started with the new version of BackWPup. 5.04. And it’s the same issue with all sites, so I really do expect it’s a problem with the program itself.

Nothing happens at all when using the Backup Now button at the top of the settings page, no logs are created. Neither of the default options will run from the Access To Jobs.

Why does the old backup job that I have always used and which was set up previous to this new update still run, but none of the other options will.

I can give someone access to my own private site if that helps. Let me know how to do that safely.

Also, just tried loading 5.0.6 on my own site and it will not load. It creates a server error. This occurred for many of the sites for 5.0.5.

But this ticket is itself not resolved since I found the widget for the login User Profile & Notifications but it is not working. It is doing the same thing the other login widget is doing for the login feature.

You cannot put your cursor in the captcha box which is annoying. So I disabled the captcha.

However, since this is a private forum by and invitation only I don’t want the register button.

I added css but it displays anyway. Can you give me a work around?

From this item https://wpforo.com/docs/wpforo-v2/settings/forum-notifications/ it doesn’t appear that User Profile & Notifications sends out emails. The Bell notification does work.

How do I get the @nickname to send out emails?

I moved Profile and Notifications to it’s own post.

As a matter of face, the @nickname is not sending out emails.

Can you point me to where to activate this.

Server email is working as I have WP Mail SMPT installed and all tests work.

Another privacy issue.

I’m using wpForo Online Members widget on the forum sidebar. Even when logged out the members online can be viewed by anyone, and when scrolling over the avatar their name is displayed.

I have Admin, Moderator, Registered selected on the widget, but don’t want any displayed if not logged in.

That was helpful, thank you. I have been able to move ‘topics’ under a subcategory to a proper sub category. Works nicely. But what about moving a ‘comment/reply’ within a topic? Is this doable.

AND, is it safe to delete a reply/comment within a new topic (under a sub category) without deleting any other comments below that? I am waiting for the answer to this before I try it because this morning I deleted the ‘first’ comment…. one of my own…. under a new topic as it was just a placeholder and note so the sub would appear on the front end…., and unfortunately all the comments/replies below it also disappeared. So now I’m spooked about deleting comments/replies in general.

If I use either Elementor or SiteOrigin to create the page, the code is stripped.

The entire html code is not gone, just the function piece.

Will try to contact site origin.

Sorry, I did answer a week ago, but it didn’t end up here for some reason. No I don’t use blocks. This is done in PageBuilder (SiteOrigin) which has retained the classic editor. But it doesn’t matter in that regard since Elementor also strips the code.

I have a simple pop up and it calls on a php script in the header, (or more specifically, which resides in a plugin WP Headers And Footers) and that is all stable.

This is a very simple and text basic popup that is triggered on the link click. I cannot find a plugin that isn’t all about big flashy popups and ads so I found simple html code. This is an example of the code blow. The bolded popFunction is what gets stripped out. I have several on the page, and the popFunction is stripped from all of them whenever I come back to the page and do an edit anywhere on the page, and then resave. Then function part of the code is stripped out, so the popup no longer works of course.

The question is how to prevent the code from being stripped out.

Yes, I did one site out of 30 and it is working fine. Thank you very much. What will be the new version number when it is issued? Will this override the patch? I see that WP 6.4.1 has just come out today, but they haven’t fixed this for you I see.

I really like this plug in. Please don’t drop the classic editor. It saves my sanity, as it contains features that blocks left out.

The developer form says “

“The issue pages have been created in the Block Editor within a SiteOrigin Layout Block. We’re working through a WP 6.4 issue relating to the SiteOrigin Layout Block. An update will be released ASAP. As soon as the Layout Block is resolved, you can migrate the above pages back to the classic format by opening the Layout Block, clicking LayoutsImport/ExportDownload Layout. Then using the Classic Editor plugin to open the page, clear the page contents, click on the Page Builder tab, and import the JSON layout file via LayoutsImport/ExportImport Layout in Page Builder.”

I am not at all happy to have to do this all again. I just did this json method a while back in order to get 30 sites I manage compatible with blocks, and to maintain the page builder layout. It took me a long time as all sites have a dozen pages or more. I can’t believe I have to do this all again. Will migrating back to classic preserve the layout?

That’s can’t be, since if I use the same short code twice on the same page I get a duplicate of the current calendar. It appears twice on the page.
