This has been answered before. Try doing a search for it, I do remember that there was a method to do it, although not so clean, it’s what you’ll have to stick with till WordPress 1.3 comes around…

Ok this is quite pointless. List the issue, and make better use of this “SUPPORT” forum. Don’t just tell them to e-mail you. 100 helpers, are usually better than 1.

Have you tried a hit counter for the index.php? you can make one in php. Just search on google. As for the posts, i’m not sure on that one…

Well for one thing, the installation and configurations can be done via the web browser. WordPress has a built in application that will setup the wp-config.php so that you don’t need to change any files. Just simply uploaded to the server and try to view your page. The instructions will show you how to set everything up… You just need to have a database, PHP support, and you should be good to go. As for transfering, as far as I understand, your saying that the server doesn’t have FTP support? If it doesn’t maybe you have telnet?

If your server is not already set up with mod_gzip you can always enable php’s own compression

Allusion, we know that you are able to compress everything with a check mark in ‘Options’. That method uses mod_gzip. Not all server has mod_gzip install, so this is an alternative method by using PHP’s equivalent of gzip. About the name change to .php, i’m not absolutely sure about that, but I have a hunch that it does break the complience. You’ll have to check W3C (https://www.w3.org) to fine out. Otherwise when running through validators, you will get errors.

Did you happen to accidentally upload it? Because I think if some one meanted to upload something to your server without your knowledge, I would think that they would atleast upload a virus instead of this…

Yes I did that. Infact I did it through WordPress’s own .htaccess editor in the templates section. Although it still doesn’t seem to be working… Maybe i’l try editing it through cPanel.

Is there a plugin like that for Blogrolling.com?

You first need to download and install MySQL, then you will need the graphical interface’s for the MySQL. Try downloading MySQLGUI, MySQL Control Center, MySQL Administrator. Although I don’t think that MySQL Control Center thing. So just take the first then last one. Then you can make your databases through them. For the server address set Word Press to point to localhost. Which should be default. And use the user name that you should have setted up, along with the password. That should be all you need to do.
