The issue had nothing to do with the Social Meta Settings .. but in the general settings. Can’t believe it took me so long to find it.

Yes .. I know about that. And “Events” is indeed checked. But it’s still not working. I about the Pro plan .. and am willing to pay for it, but I need to make sure this feature works first.

I recently starting having the same problem.

I’m sorry .. I just saw this as well … for some reason, I’m not getting the notifications .

I would love to use your website to get info and initiate contacts .. unfortunately, the thing is rarely up. I have been trying for over three hours to get to your Contact page .. and have been hit with nothing but 504 errors.

Actually, it really cheeses me off that a developer would pull up stakes without even so much as a dear John letter to those who actually paid money for his product.

Stuff happens. I get that. But showing a little professionalism wouldn’t have hurt.

Actually, my problem .. it turns out was unrelated to WP4 .. just a coincidence. The Slideshow plug-in has a 100-image limit (more or less) .. been there since the beginning .. I just happened to run into it at the same time I upgraded.

No real fix (at this time) other than changing plug-ins .. which I did (NextGen) ..

Actually .. I think you are right .. the 4.0 upgrade is just a coincidence .. seems this plug-in can’t handle over 100 slides (give or take) .. my slide show hit that limit as 4.0 was coming out .. and when I tried to create a new one .. I selected over 100 slides.

Looking at the developer’s site .. apparently this has been an issue from the get-go .. he seems in no hurry to address it either.

I didn’t lose my slideshows (thank, goodness), but I find I can no longer add to existing slide shows .. nor create new ones .. goes through the motions, but nothing is retained after clicking Update or Publish

That’s the best part of the plug-in! You can set it to automatically backup hourly, daily, or weekly ..

Easiest way to backup a database is to use the “WordPress Database Backup” plug-in .. been using it for years .. simple .. and it works.

Sorry .. got involved in other things – and this really wasn’t a hot button for me .. anyway.. looks like WP 3.8 corrected the issue.

Disabling plug-ins .. no difference.

Switch themes … no difference.
