Yes, Koko is still useful for relative trends, but as a larger share of users use ad blockers, the metrics get blurry. The point, after all, is to get an accurate count.

I am a happy user of Koko with a Pro subscription that’s about to renew.

Media sites throw a dialog box when I visit, detecting that I am using an ad blocker. Could Koko at least detect number of hits from ad blocker users in a day, even if they couldn’t be distinguished as individuals?

ChatGPT tells me about half of users in North America and Europe use ad blockers. If this is correct, I would need to double Koko metrics to estimate actual use.

I have three types of caching enabled through SiteGround’s Speed Optimizer plugin: dynamic caching (NGINX), file-based caching and memcached.

It looks like there were a few misses for another page. I have logs for this one as well.

I tried running the code snippet using the Code Snippets plugin (in addition to changing the indexing setting) but this didn’t work. It’s not important enough to debug, but thanks for the response.

Thanks for the update. I have “Security Optimizer” and “Speed Optimizer” plugins from SiteGround installed.

I checked the settings of Speed Optimizer. Combine JS files is OFF. Minification and Defer Render-blocking JavaScript are ON. When I go to edit these settings, the menus do not include the path you provided and free text can’t be entered. So maybe they are not bundling the Koko script?
