I honestly didn’t even notice until I got your reply. I have no idea what fixed it, I activated the plugin repeatedly and never got it to work. Now all of a sudden it seems to be fine.

I was trying Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer but I am not sure I tried clicking on the image in anything other than Chrome.

Unclicking the media settings allowed me to remove the image which I then added back editing the flat theme. One interesting problem, however, is when I add thumbnail with link I do not see a link target that I can set. I thought there was a target setting there?

Switched to a different plugin, issue resolved.

The Classic Editor plugin has over 2 MILLION installs now, and I can not believe that doesn’t tell people something. I downloaded it after Gutenberg ate some of my content on my primary site, then was setting up a new site and tried to use it and it did the same thing there.

Blow up my stuff once, shame on you, blow it up twice, shame on me, there won’t be a third time, period.

Yes, you and Tobias told me the same thing regarding the monthly pricing, but unfortunately that did not stop me (and probably will/has not stopped others) from clicking on the link to make the purchase only to find out the monthly option was not available.

Maybe I could suggest you put a note (or a star with a note at the bottom) and say something like “monthly rates for comparison only, all paid plans are annually based”. That would have made me a lot less suspicious of what was going on.

I did send in a question and Britta got back with me today so that is good. If the manuals/videos were better and the monthly pricing thing was fixed, I think it would be a lot better.

This is the kind of stuff that makes me love vodka….. Everything just magically works this morning. No errors in the mailchimp.com api logs, the plugin shows my list, all is right with the world.

Just to clarify, I did nothing after creating and installing that new key which didn’t work yesterday.

Also, don’t know if this matters but I just recently went to SSL (converted to https from http), installed a new cache plugin, and got a CDN.

Same thing with the new key. Interestingly enough, when I went to see if the new key connected correctly on the mailchimp.com website, I saw a bunch of errors from earlier….

Funny thing, every test I did, nothing changed. Then one day, it started working fine. No idea.

Turns out it was a conflict with WP-SpamShield. Enabling the “Disable anti-spam for miscellaneous forms.” option in SpamShield solves the problem.

Set to accept SSL connections? I have no idea. I would assume that since they installed the SSL cert it would be. How can I check?

I can certainly try that but here is what scares me. When I change the two settings in wordpress from https://www.allans-stuff.com to https://www.allans-stuff.com the website becomes unavailable and the only way I can get back in is to open the phpadmin console on 1and1 and manually change the values in the options table.

If I do the search and replace, how can I go back if the website will not load after making the changes?
