since the first install has been deleted, seems to me like the root directory should be free from any script.

the public_html is completely empty, not sure but is’nt that where the root directory is?

i wanted to make a clean install so i had to delete the initial installation for a fresh one. but i guess i missed it somewhere as i now have the error while trying to re- install using fantastico.

‘ Install WordPress (2/3)

The installation can not be completed:

– You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain.

Click on the browser’s Back button to fix reported errors.’

really don’t know how to resolve this.

i would be glad if anyone can help out.
