  • Had a slew of Emma Rose’s on Sept 14, 2019. They have come on and off for the last year and a half or so, generally 10-20 per session, every couple of months. Always emma rose, allen street 2, ny,ny 10004. Mine are always CC via PayPal, not COD or check. Orders are never confirmed.

I tried the NoCaptcha/ReCaptcha but I don’t require accounts at my site, so it doesn’t work (not to mention threw a header error on my site). I need a captcha for the order form, not registration/login/password.

I did a google street view and the building appears to be in a Chinese district in lower Manhattan, NYC. I agree with the folks that believe Emma Rose just tries to get merchandise sent on pending orders. Be careful people!

    It’s annoying.

One install of mine also stopped working properly when upgraded to WP 5.0.1.

I can tell you that I have the weekly view set as default.
If I try to change the week (forward), I get the following error message:

Something went wrong while fetching events.
    The request status is: 200
The error thrown was: SyntaxError: Unexpected token <

Oh.. ok that looks like just what I need! Now to try to convince my client to pay for it. : ) Thanks!

I wasn’t able to just create a cPanel email as it wasn’t found when I tried sending a test email to it… because the Office365 intercepted it to say there was no such address, so I had to go with the subdomain to completely separate it out.

I didn’t know to use a Routing vs Remote setting (that might have solved it? I don’t deal with name records much at all), and since I’m fearful of messing up their Office365, the subdomain solution is a good solution in my case.

And, yes, I did have to do the full server name just as you described above.

I was able to set up the server using IMAP-SSL port 993.

    Thank you Tor-Bjorn!

    I’m into the back end!

I’d tried that at first, but used twenty sixteen, stupidly thinking that since they didn’t have 4.8 installed, I should use the prior version.

Anyway, thank you for reminding me to do that again, with twenty seventeen, and SINCE I’d identified it as a theme issue.

Guess this issue is solved. Thanks again — Kristin (Flowergirl)

For all: I was able to get the debug working. (Bootstrap seemed to hide it in a config folder at the root level.) Now I’m getting this error that I’m starting to look into:

Fatal error: Call to a member function set_template_path() on a non-object in /home/username/public_html/wp-content/themes/hrl-namc/resources/admin/actions.php on line 14

Looks like a theme issue, but affecting both front and back end.

Steve – Thanks for reply, but it’s not DE-activating I need (I can do that by moving or renaming from plugins folder via FTP).
    I need to RE-activate.

Tor-Bjorn – Thanks for the insight about reactivating the plugins possibly not helping. I need to give it a shot, though, at least for a couple of the design plugins?? Seems like the back end should be working if that were the issue. So I can try that in the DB? Is there a master table that contains them or would it be within each plugin’s table set?

I wish the site had been set up with a child theme, but it was not, and in addition, a default theme wasn’t left in place. Ugh (not my original setup).

    Host is GoDaddy, shared environment.

    Thanks again —
    I’m tearing my hair out!

I’m wondering this same thing, too…. It would be much more convenient built into the ‘trash’ screen than having to dig into the DB.

Did a lot of testing that I don’t want to leave around for my client.

Otherwise, thanks for a great plugin! Got it to work perfectly.

Thank you! It seems to be working fine now..

I had it checked, but possibly the issue I had with the “WPLANG” was interferring…???
    Who knows…

Thanks for you quick reply! ??

PS… the PayPal links are not complete and will result in an error message if you click on them. I tried to edit and format them as code, but there was no ‘save’ button….

    Thank you!
I was having this same issue with a fresh install of 3.9.1. I remember having to do this one other time.

This seems like a pretty obscure and mislocated ‘fix’ option for the issue. I spent a couple hours searching for the fix (most the results were about the ‘visual’ tab not operating correctly), and trying the typical troubleshooting things like deactivating all plugins and reverting to the the default theme. Reinstalled and all that fun stuff. Remembering this would have saved me a boatload of time!

Hey, just a FYI, I found the version “Event Calendar 3 for PHP 5.3” and it works like a charm…. ??

    (@flowergirl)

Thanks — I just tried that and it removed several of the front end errors, but not all of them. It had no effect on the back end errors. It appears that plugin may be broken too…, but it doesn’t act up when Event Calendar is disabled, so, maybe it’s just EC?
