Ok thanks for reply. I tried pasting the code above in my .css file but it is not removing the breadcrumbs.

I’m waiting on a reply re: full width template that I’ve posted on other thread.

The slideshow shortcode works! And puts my images in sequence, which is excellent, however, I need control over how the size of the images as they are too small, unlike separate camera plugin, which I can control these aspects. Also I wish to remove the black title pop up under each slide and change the cycling icon, so it all looks like in my ‘Camera Plugin Test’ link. Will I have to change this in the .css file? That would be harder for me as I say, I’m not a coder and really prefer visual ways to change settings.

    Thanks for help so far!

    Hi,

Checked this thread as you suggested but I can’t find the php file single-galleryfolder.php in this theme twenty twelve? There is single.php and sidebar.php only?

I also wonder if bjanczak got this fixed as I’m using Elegant Themes too?

Have now figured out how to fix the broken links when viewing images in folder by going to Eazyest Settings in dashboard and messing with options there but can’t get the lightbox etc options to work. Images view at various sizes but only at top left of white page.

New thought I’ve had is : in order to actually use the Camera plugin on it’s own for the time being, whilst Eazyest gallery improves, I need to get the url path’s for each image I want to add to a slideshow manually, by clicking on individual images in either the default WP media gallery or Eazyest Gallery.

Is there no easier way you could make the url path display on the overview page of Eazyest Gallery, where it shows lists of images, for easy transferal?

I forgot to say that the reason I want this Gallery, is so I can just upload lots of images in batches, using FTP to my server and have a gallery that will read them and display them in a aesthetically pleasing way, ideally with the Lazyest stacks plugin but built for Eazyest Gallery instead.

I could use Camera plugin on its own, on individual pages, as in my ‘Camera Test’ link but it doesn’t give me the Gallery function that Eazyest Gallery could potentially give me.

Sorry for the essay but I can’t write concisely! ??

Ok thanks for that. I will try this out. Have a test version of my site I’m doing all this on at the moment. If I get this sorted I’ll post back. ??

Ok still messing with this plug in and now see Eazyest Gallery can see all my folders in my wp-contents/uploads folder inc ones from wordpress uploader.

Now I am perplexed again as I can’t find any instructions on hwo to make the gallery appear on my pages? There is only a guide for lazyest gallery and something about shortcodes but I’m not a coder so need help!

I think I’ve spent 3 days on this trying to find a way to have moving slideshow images on my pages instead of lightbox and so often things just don’t have clear guides to follow.

I’ve checked the Settings in dashboard, Tools, my page for clues on how to show the gallery. How can I do this please?

Hi Macbrink and thanks for the swift answer! Most of the time I write these things and no one ever answers.

I’ve tried NextGen, finally figuring it out and it is much too old fashioned and boring for my needs. I need slideshows with grungy edges and suitable for my vintage themed photography site, so I’m just trying to use Eazyest Gallery now.

I do have quite a few images to re-upload and so ZIPing files would be cool when you get round to it.

In Q2/ I was really referring to all the work I’ve put in, uploading images via WordPress’s Media Uploader and putting in Alt tags and keywording for SEO purposes etc but now using this plug in and the NExtgen one etc… it seems you have to upload your images again to your server, rather than hooking up to whats already in your uploads folder, in order for these plug-ins to find them. I suppose I could download all my files and re-upload as a separate folder to keep my alt tag’s etc.

Re: Q3 It was actually Lazest Stacks that led me to Eazyest gallery in the first place, as I really want some sort of animated ‘throwing Polaroid’s on a desk’ or whatever type script, that displays on each page on my site instead of a lightbox gallery, that is either: at its most basic, like a slideshow. Or ideally: that users can interact with and move the images, like they are looking at real photographs and putting one behind the other. I’ve seen Ajax based themes that have smooth transition effects that are quite cool with room for video content and things, but nothing with a piles of old photographs that animate. I think alot of photographers would like something like that.

In the mean time I have found the Camera plugin mentioned when you install Eazyest Gallery and have got that working on my test site, so that looks promising if I can figure Eazyest Gallery plugin out.

I’ll keep checking back, unless I find something else in the meantime. I really need to stop messing with website and get some business! ??

Ok I’ve fixed it! God know’s how but I found this article: https://www.craniumstorm.com/how-to-move-a-wordpress-site/ and followed step 4 about the ninja monkeys? I inserted the two lines of code into my local copy of PHPmyadmin after selecting my database and input my old live url and my new local url and then tried logging into my WP admin dashboard. It asked me to log in again but didn’t seem to want to take my password, as in nothing happened when I put it in. But then I tried the root url again and it took me to the dashboard with everything as it should be! All my media files showing and theme and everything!

Am just regenerating my thumnails now.

It still would be interesting if someone could provide an analogy for my visual self, as to what exactly I did to get the thing to understand itself? Just so I remember for next time I move a site using MAMP.

Ok so I checked my security settings on my mac and in firewall, which is turned on, I saw one connection for nmbd was not allowing incoming connection whereas there are two msqld connections allowing connection. I turned on nmbd and now I can see the wp-admin screen when I put in e.g. http:testsitedev.co.uk/wp-admin.

I logged in but now I see the dashboard without the interface, so just the html files and placeholders for images. I guess then that the path to these is not being found. I really don’t know what I’m doing but I think it is getting closer to being resolved. Any help still appreciated?
