In reply to: Google doesn’t see my blog.I see what you’re saying, but what I mean is that when I had a static site, searching for “urban trash” gave me a good Google result (1st page). A few months later, after running WP, I don’t even get listed on the first few page results. And I get FAR more hits now, than ever before.

In reply to: Google doesn’t see my blog. Thanks a lot, but, where did my domain come up on Google? I tried, and couldn’t find it. Not my own domain, though, but other domains ABOUT my domain.
I certainly can’t see my domain on Google.
I’m going to try out that site map plugin.

Help?

In reply to: Comicpress theme question.I’ve had a look at the archives.php and archive.php pages, and can’t find any ‘<br>’ tags, to be honest. I’ve also looked at the Comicpress native archives page ‘narchives.php’, and can find no ‘<br>’ tags either.
I’m happy to put the pages onto my server for download, if it means that you can have a look for me, and try help out.
Oh, and something odd has happened: after I adjusted point number 1, as you suggested in your previous post, everything worked out fine. Excepting that, now the size of the font in the Comments text field (under a blog entry) has decreased somewhat. Why has this happened?

Except number 3. Where do I edit and find that code?

In reply to: Breaking apart comments into pages. What plugin? Where can I get it, and, what is a good one?

In reply to: Breaking apart comments into pages.I can’t seem to find any documentation on this. Does WP automatically split comments over multiple pages, should there be too many?
For example, after 20 (or however many) comments, does WP create a 2nd page for the comments to appear on? And then a third a page, and so on.

In reply to: ComicPress and comments.Yip, I want comments on certain pages :- ).
Why do the comments on Pages get displayed by default?
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: ComicPress and comments. That’s a sexy plugin, but not quite what I meant.
My URL is https://www.urbantrash.co.za
1. When viewing the index page, there is a link at the bottom of the blog post linking to the comments. When clicked, the page opens showing all the comments. In other words, the comments, by default, are not displayed (to avoid lengthy scrolling).
2. However, when a nav link is clicked (e.g; “Extras”), the Page opens with its content, including the comments at the bottom. The comments are immediately visible without the need to click on the comments link.
Basically, I simply want it to look the same as the index page, where the comments are not displayed unless clicked.

In reply to: ComicPress and comments.Fantastic. I searched for a thread like that, but didn’t find it. Working now – thank you.
I now have a second, but related, query:
1. When a link to a Page is clicked, the Page opens.
2. At the bottom of the Page, the comments field will be visible, assuming the ‘allow comments’ box is ticked.
3. If there are comments, they are automatically visible. How do I adjust the code such that the comments are not automatically visible. Instead, I want what the index page sees by default: ‘3 comments’, or ’10 comments’ (etc) to appear at the bottom of the Page. Then, one must click on the ‘3 comments’ link for the Page to reload with the comments now visible (exactly like a normal blog Post).
