Just changed theme to Charitas Lite and created a post; however, photo does not appear on home page (although all lead photos show on the hundred of posts I imported). This is the first post I’ve done with new theme.

The photo does appear in edit, preview and when title on home page is clicked to link. I’m published and don’t want people seeing my home page without photo. Please help — and thank you!

Thank you so much for responding. I’m curious how you knew I have a custom theme since I can no longer access my site. Does the error message indicate that in some way?

More importantly, I’m not quite sure how I follow the link directions if I can’t access dashboard or website and, therefore, I cannot access text editor. I am no longer in contact with developer — it was 8 years ago!

Or is this suggesting I can work from a backup — and that will allow me to access text editor and restore website?

No new comments have come in on current post and all comments from prior posts have disappeared. Comments page shows -0- in all categories (pending, approved, spam, trash) when there should be tens of thousands. On older posts, it shows # (ex. 12comments) but they are not showing and it says “be first to comment”.

I have a customized theme and have not made any changes except for the updates prompted. Help please.

Had problem with 3.9 update and saw that as one of solutions. I think I’m ok now. I have customized blog and haven’t touched all those other theme updates. Will stay that way. Thanks.

Thanks but no plugin. Strict copy url and upload to facebook which always was accompanied by selector tool to choose which photo accompanies it. Perhaps it’s a new facebook issue.

Thanks, I was able to get it back by deactivating plug-ins and then re-activating.

Just installed 3.1 yesterday and have the same problem in visual edit (no toolbar). I am not a web developer and do not understand any of the suggestions above.

I’ve always updated via ‘automatic’ without problem and this is very upsetting.

If there is no fix, how can I return to older version?

is anyone experiencing this problem? Can someone offer advice for mac user?
