In reply to: [Travelify] Trouble with RSS Feed & iTunes podcastYou’re the man for following up with me this many times, and promptly at that.
Thanks for the itunes link – I just submitted a request for them to change my Feed URL to , https://www.wheresthegringo.com/feed/podcast/, so we’ll see where that takes me.
Regarding the enclosure items in my feed, you mentioned in the previous message that I have 3 (and I do, I viewed the code in Google Chrome & used the “find” feature like you told me to). That would be one enclosure for each podcast I have, but I still only see 1 podcast in the iTunes listing.
If you look back at this message history, you’ll see that in your first response to me you said I only had 1 enclosure, and that was prob the reason for only 1 episode showing up in iTunes. Has something changed since then? I definitely have 3 now, but still no change.
Thanks so much once again, I feel like I’m getting close to sorting this out – thanks to you and you alone!

In reply to: [Travelify] Trouble with RSS Feed & iTunes podcast@shawn – I literally have no idea how to access my root folder in order to create or modify a .htacess form. My host is GoDaddy.
I have no subscribers to my podcast yet, would it be better just to delete everything and resubmit it? I just am not technical at all and feel like even if I did find my root access folder, I would mess something up by modifying it. Would you be able to tell if I already have a .htaccess file created?
Furthermore, I don’t even know what you’re referring to when you say “enclosure” in my feed. I sure would love to correct what should be a simple thing, but it seems it’s not that straight-forward to someone like me.
thanks once again for your guidance,
Ford

In reply to: [Travelify] Trouble with RSS Feed & iTunes podcastThanks for the reply!
How can you tell that my iTunes is pulling from https://www.wheresthegringo.com/feed?
When I access my Blubrry plugin and go to where you told me to (settings>>feeds>>podcast feed>>special podcast feed) it tells me that it is https://www.wheresthegringo.com/feed/podcast/. Also, under the iTunes tab in the Blubrry settings it says that https://www.wheresthegringo.com/feed/podcast/ is my iTunes subscription URL. Am I not understanding something?
Regarding the 2nd part of your reply, when you told me that my RSS feed has only 1 enclosure item. What exactly do you mean by that? I have gone through all the steps and verified my media URLs. How can you see that my RSS feed has only one enclosure item?
I’m sorry for any technical ability I may be lacking, I’m sure you’re used to dealing with technical retards like me, so i greatly appreciate your patience & expertise!

Actually now it’s better. So weird – I did what you told me and it didn’t change anything. So I copy and pasted the original code back in, then it took the space out on the mobile version, & looked like I wanted it to. Now, with the old code in the CSS – it looks like I want it to look, on both desktop & mobile.
Maybe not what you were expecting – but you still helped me haha!
Thanks a lot!

Hey Silkalns,
I did what you told me to with the CSS code and nothing has changed. It still looks the same with alot of space in the header margin above the image in the mobile version of https://www.wheresthegringo.com
Any other ideas?
thanks for your help,
Ford
No I can’t do that because I want the text and logo in the header space, so I uploaded it all as one block image. I don’t have a child theme, and without it it is difficult to make the logo & site title appear like I wanted it.
Maybe I try to do a child theme later on in the process, but for now I don’t have the time to learn how to do it. But for now, if you take a look at my website the block header image fits great on desktop, but not so great on mobile.
@silkalns or whoever else – is there any sort of recommendation or CSS code for me, or am I shit out of luck for not using a child theme at this point? I like the responsive design of the site, it’s just the header image look shrunk & small, and is not utitlizing all of the empty space at the top as the responsive design fits the mobile phone screen.
I want to go live with the blog (publicize it) today after working on it for a few months – so any timely responses would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much for all the great support!

In reply to: [Travelify] Shorten space above headerI too uploaded a header image that includes my logo, and it looks great on the desktop version of website. However, when viewing the responsive site on a mobile device, there is still a good bit of space above my header image. I tried implementing this code you mentioned above @silkalns, but it doesnt help.
Do you have any suggestions/custom CSS code for me? My website is https://www.wheresthegringo.com & I do not have a child theme.
Thanks so much.

You’re the main @silkalns. I have already left a 5-star review for you, and will mark this thread as resolved.
Until next time my friend!

In reply to: [Travelify] Problems w/ MobileAwesome – did that.
Now I see the slider and the drop-down menus.
However, the text for the slider images is not formatted for the image and is much larger than the slider.
Also, the images within the posts are still not formatted for the screen. Is that because they are still full size? Is there anyway for me to keep them full size on a desktop so they will still format for the mobile screen. Trying to have as visual of an experience here.
Thanks alot – progress is being made!

In reply to: [Travelify] Problems w/ MobileIt’s still not doing the trick :(.
My mobile site doesn’t even have a drop-down menu – just say’s “Where’s the Gringo? at the top, with a search icon, and then my posts listed below & itemized per line
There is no slider, no drop-down menu displaying my pages/categories, no tagline (where it says “Exploring America Below the Border on the desktop version of my site) underneath the title, and all the photos aren’t resized for the mobile phone screen.
Am I screwing this up??
thanks for your support,

In reply to: [Travelify] Problems w/ MobileSilkalns – First off…brilliant theme and fantastic customer support. I’ve been reading through the forums and you’re the man.
Secondly – I copy and pasted that CSS code where you told me to and nothing changed. Please note that I already put in the custom CSS code below to display on the post titles in the slider:
.featured-content {
display: none;
}Is that why it’s not working (aka the slider still doesn’t show up on my mobile)? I can have both of those snippets of code in there right?
Lastly, my website is https://www.wheresthegringo.com
Thanks in advance for everything!
