This is WooCommerce Product Add-ons. I didn’t realize there were multiple product add-on plugins with pretty much the same name. Had I known there was an option to not buy a plugin from WooCommerce, I would have considered it. Thanks for your time.

Thank you. Here’s a link to the screenshot. I found a way I could set up the product so the buyer could add the number of each model. The problem is that the calculation is not correct because it adds the base price to the total. An order of one Graphite model should be $45 but when I select a quantity of 1, I get $45 + $45.

Hello andy3000, I don’t know if there’s a way to selectively export variation data but my Product CSV is such a mess it wouldn’t be possible to edit the data in the spreadsheet. I didn’t use Product Add Ons after I bought it, because I didn’t like the presentation. The back-end works great but the page shows incremental pricing and all the details which I don’t want; I’ve come to the conclusion that my developer can probably move the final price to where I want it on the page and hide the rest of the stuff I don’t want shown.

Found one possible option on my own. Seems to require quite a few manual steps, but probably an improvement over the standard interface. Also, it’s not clear whether this only works for typing in numbers, rather than selecting options.

It would seem that I could use the WC Fields plugin in combination with WooCommerce variations? I think this is what I’m looking for.

From the linked example in the original post:

* I could make 5 variations of the different Models, which each have a different price.
* I could make additional dropdowns with the plugin to deliver text responses for Size, Value and Type.

A minor concern would be to make the dropdowns look alike, but I would be able to have just 5 variations, instead of 300. Am I looking at this correctly?

We don’t manage stock at all at this point, but assuming we will in the future, we may have a few products where we manage stock with variations, but in most cases we don’t keep the inventory or the selections have no impact on the price. Maybe this will be a good solution.

I might consider development. I like WooCommerce, but this Options setup is the most absurd method I’ve encountered. Who wants to exponentially increase the number of combinations they have to manage, just to add a text drop down that could be delivered in a text field with orders?

I’m much more interested in a plugin though. What kind of plugins would allow me to present options as shown in the link above and manage them as I described with BigCommerce?

Thank you. That resolved the issue. I put 3 plugins on the exception list (Email Before Download, Contact Form 7 and Download Monitor), but it was probably just one of those.

However, I’m not sure if my IP GEO settings changed, but when I reactivated the IP Geo Plugin, all of my administrator accounts are being locked constantly. I wasn’t getting any of these before. US is the only country in the whitelist of the Validation rule settings.

Resolved – the offending plugin was IP Geo Block.

This plugin was essential to prevent all the bots with Russian IP addresses from hacking my WP login, but I’ve disabled it for now until I figure out how to configure it to not cause this problem.

I tried putting an x in front of the name. Produces the same result on my computer.
