    Hi Abner.

    Thank you very much.

Can I please ask you to break this down for me a little? Is there a place i can check to see if my theme supports favicons?

Is the “html head tag” in a particular file that I can open from a particular folder?

Is the ellipses above (…) supposed to be in the code somewhere or what does it represent?

Also, is the only thing I need to change the “URL PATH”?

Finally, does anyone know how I would go about “tagging” the favicon/bookmark with a line like “this is a bookmark to my site: the best thing since thinly sliced bologna”…?

    THANKS!

    HI Samuel.

    The woorank link is fantastic.

Do you mind if I ask you some questions related to the results as they pertain to things I can fix in WP?

    Thanks very much,

    Esmi!

Is there a way to get an answer to this please?

Should I post in another location?

There seems to be something buggy going on and it is not possible for me to troubleshoot this on my own.

Can you please help or find someone that can?

    Please.

    Thanks.

    Hi Esmi, All.

This appears to be a bug. I have reset the htaccess file as suggested and I have set the Permalinks to “default” (and hit save changes).

Can someone please advise as to how to fix this?

A large number of my posts are not showing up…

    Thanks,

    Jonathan

    Hi Esmi.

I have tried this again with no luck.

I have checked the website to see this is not working.
I deleted the htaccess file in the blog folder
I checked the website again and it seems to be working exactly the same as it was when the htaccess file was uploaded.
I have re-uploaded and htaccess file to the blog folder (and then changed the name of the file from “htaccess” to “.htaccess” – which is a mac thing).
The site behaves in exactly the same way.

Earlier I also re-ran a “Save Changes” on the Permalink Page when I changed it to default.

    Thanks for any help,

    Jon

    Hi Esmi.

    Two things.

    1. I ran the Permalinks again by having the radio button at default and hitting “Save Changes” in the Permalinks tab which is what I assume you wanted me to do in the first items earlier.

    2. the formpig.com folder is in another folder that makes it available on my other web pages ftp. I don’t know anything about this so i figured I mention it in case there is another htaccess file that I need to reset.

    Hey Esmi.

You are really super and I really appreciate the help.

Can I please bother you a little more on this? For some reason I don’t see this “taking” and I am still getting the same behaviour. Also, I had thought that I set my settings to show up to 200 (or 100) posts at a time so I would not have to have people sorting through pages to see all the posts. I really wanted them to be able to see them all at once. At the very least within each category since I don’t have a way of displaying them all at once without giving over my home page in total to posts.

Can I please ask you if there is something else I need to do to get the older posts to show up?

Can I also ask you if there is a setting that will just let all the posts show up at once instead of having to click back through to see the older posts?

Do you know if there is a way to get a page (or even a menu item) to show all the posts at once, in addition to being able to show them sorted by category as I have them.

Cheers, Thanks and Please (not necessarily in that order),

    Thanks so much.

I’m flapping wildly in the hopes of flying here one day.

Do you mind if I post back if I run into problems?

    Hi A.

    Working on it here.

Am I correct in thinking that it does not concern you that I get a

“a < can’t go here” error when I cut and past the code into TextWrangler and try and close out of it? TW seems to save out as an applescript file and then I just change the extension to .php…

    Hi A.

    Many thanks.

Yes. I had intended on simply copying from the editable box below the text on this link.

check if your result looks like the one in here:
    https://wordpress.pastebin.com/3mjCn0PN

I was just going to copy and past all of the text in the dialog box below since I can get into it here.

But – I guess this is madness since I have spent the better part of two months getting the site working and if I don’t retain the original php file and simply add the text you recommend I will break all my previous customization…

I’ll use TextWrangler or ConText and just copy the bit i don’t have and paste it where it belongs, yes?!

    Thanks…

    Hi esmi,

Got the permalinks to default and hit save.

    On the htaccess I see:

    a formpig.com folder
    >cgi-bin
    >logs
    >private
    >public

    in public folder I see:
    >blog
    >image
    >images
    >pdf
    >stats
    stats
    formpig.jpg
    public
    style.css

I don’t see an htaccess file in either the formpig.com or the public folder. I see one in the blog folder which I deleted and replaced but this is obviously not what you are suggesting.

Can I please ask you to help me with it a little more?

    Thanks,

    Jon

    Hi esmi.

    Thank you.

Can I please ask you where I go to reset the custom permalinks to default? I know it is in here but I am not sure where it is.

Also, you are recommending that I delete the .htaccess file that is in the blog folder along with the wp-admin folder (for instance) and reupload a new .htaccess file, yes?

    Thanks again,

    Jon

    Hi.

    Thanks very much.

So I should copy and paste the text in the second box (the one that says “submit a correction or amendment below” and upload this as a php file and I should be good to go?

    Thank you.

    hi esmi.

    thanks very much.

The home page shows 56 posts under the following Category. I click on the category and get the following page with 24 items.

    https://formpig.com/blog/category/geometry/

I click on older entries to see the others and I get a 404 error.

    https://formpig.com/blog/category/geometry/page/2/

    Thanks for your great help.
