my concern is that i need something really clean and straightforward but i really want to avoid using the media uploader and/or adding steps in my workflow.

right now i can just add an image and it gets updated in flickr and if it could also be updated in my online website portfolio – – well that would be super…

can you please help me here and tell me if i am following your instructions? this issue is causing me to not get any updates done and it has been making me crazy.

i was /going/ to try the text editor word-wrap suggestion but i first just re-wrote the code and hit UPDATE and i see not update.

also i have dragged and dropped a NEW WIDGET to my center widget area (F8 Static) and i have pasted this into it – <p>Test 123</p> – i have also added “Test” in the header for the text widget.

after hitting update nothing happens on my page.

can you tell me what i should do at this point? formatting anything at this point is dead in the water…

if anyone runs into something that will let me MANAGE MY IMAGES from my APERTURE LIBRARY on my macbookpro or on my macpro that /also/ lets me control what is seen in my online WORDPRESS BLOG/PORTFOLIO this would be ideal.

i mean, i have /already/ published these albums to FLICKR and since they are already organized it would be ideal to publish these to WP and to then ALSO be able to MANAGE the images with Aperture moving forward.

this way i have ONE thing to manage and that is my Aperture database…but the images still go to my online WP gallery.

ALTERNATIVELY if there are really good suggestions for a PORTFOLIO type theme or PLUGIN, I would ilke to check it out since I need to also CREATE the site.

1. if you would expect this code to also accomplish this task in a /post/ where i am having the same problem?

2. is there any way to troubleshoot why it is that hitting Save in the text widget is frequently not updating the site with the changes even though i see the little rotating circle go briefly? i mean, this makes it very hard to know how to manage things (the code is working to effectuate the paragraph return however) and the solution right now is to /copy/ the text in the widget, /reload/ the browser window i am doing the edits in, and then /pasting/ the code edits back into the widget and hitting save again. then i go back to the page i am checking to see the changes, hit reload and then check for the changes again.

why doesn’t a paragraph return work in here? why doesn’t putting in <div> work in here?

it is not possible for me to create images that take up the full width of the area here because in some case i need another image next to another one. ALSO, it seems very, very odd to have to change methods in my site simply to get a paragraph return.

does this not work for anyone?

i’m not sure i understand the UI based upon this then.

i mean, i can /only/ create a Gallery from multiply uploaded images uploaded via the IMAGE UPLOAD button and if i do select /multiple/ images to upload then i can /only/ insert them as /either/ a Gallery (with ALL the images just uploaded in the gallery going into the Gallery in the post) or by inserting them one by one by one in the Media Library.

i can’t select a /set/ of images to put into a gallery and i can’t select a set of images to just put in the post (like one after the other after the other as they would appear if i manually put them in one by one by one by clicking through all the stuff in Media Library…)

or am i missing something that will make my life easier here?

i found this out messing around here a bit.
what is the deal, you can bulk upload images and /then/ insert into a gallery in a post but you can’t bulk upload and create a gallery in a post from images in Media Library – because – well, i guess because you can only create a Gallery from within the post? i mean, the Gallery Tab is cleared when you insert them into a post and the Media Library is populated when you do a multiple upload but you have to bulk delete from Medial library and you can only create a gallery from within the Gallery Tab from within the post?

/also/ how do images get added to this tab or removed from this tab?

adding is through a multiple upload (i.e. multiply uploaded images always go to the gallery tab) and removing from this tab happens when you insert images into a gallery item in a post…?
