    hi alchymyth.
    yes, i have this printed out here somewhere. thank you.
    can i please just ask you how to tackle this from a practical perspective?
    i mean, if i am understanding correctly i have a “name” entry that is somewhere in my WP Blog description and this (apparently) includes the blog name and the blog description? and then this /code/ entry in the footer is telling the blog to put this “name” in the section where the code is asking for “bloginfo”?
    and so to change this i simply take out “name” and i put in some other text that i prefer…?
    thank you…

    hi cubecolor. thank you. i will try out this image widget. thanks.

    i have solved the issue by making the image WIDER so that this WP cannot /put/ two images in this area since the combined width of the two images is too wide but this seems really stupid when all i want is a simple PARAGRAPH RETURN in the text widget. seems very bizarre not to be able to get this to work. if i wanted to try to MANUALLY put this in i would put in <p> is that right?

    SWD: i have a set of text widgets. these have a series of images and url links that go in the text widget so that images show up and people can link to external (or internal) urls. i /do/ want the text TITLE in the text widget to show up and i do want multiple images to show up under this title. i just don’t want them to show up on the SAME LINE. i want one to show up under the other and it seems like hitting RETURN should do this but it doesn’t.

    but this seems like it is part of a larger problem in the UI since i have problems getting paragraph returns to work in the normal body of a post…

    thanks.

    hi guys.

    thanks.

    swd: i cannot put one image in each text widget since there is a title that each image goes under. also the whole site is arranged in this manner.

    cubecolor: since i have the whole site organized this way this seems to be a /sometimes/ problem which is acting basically buggy. i /have/ tried to check the automatically add paragraphs box but my recollection was that (at least originally) this made it worse so i have kept this unchecked.

    now that i ran into the problem again i have tried it checked and then i went in and hit return after the image to add a paragraph.

    is there a way to get an simple ordered description of how this should work because it is very buggy on my end. for instance, if i start a NEW text widget and then i copy/paste the first image into this NEW text widget – what would you recommend doing next, given that i need to copy/paste in a /second/ image that hopefully will not show up on the /same/ line as the first image…

    THANKS

    hi. i see. thanks.

    after uploading to from the media library section, then you go to the post, select the image icon, select the image from media library, select upload, then insert, then select the image icon in the edit post again…?

    (@formpig)

    hi. thanks.

    so i select the image icon, go to the Media Gallery tab, and then drag and drop them there?

    then i go back to the WP UI and select insert image, navigate back to Media Gallery Tab, select an image, select insert?

    then i go back to the WP UI and select insert image and just keep doing this twenty times?

    thank you.

    hi michael.
    thank you /so/ much. i got through to APlus and half way explained it and the guy was like “it is coming up with an m in front of it?”. apparently there was some deal when they “installed the mobile app”. funny (or not so) that it has been apparently like that for a year and a half or more.
    anyway, THANK YOU.

    hi. thank you.

    can i just ask you about the syntax of the <div> portion of this? the first link is working and justified to the left
    https://www.vimeo.com/23492853&#8217;

    and then I tried variations in the next three using <div> which are not working for some reason:
    ‘<div> https://vimeo.com/23493589 <div>’
    ‘<div>https://vimeo.com/23494803<div>&#8217;
    ‘<div>https://www.vimeo.com/23492284<div>&#8217;

    can i just ask you if i doing something wrong here for “manually” centering them with code?

    thanks you!

    (@formpig)

    hey man.

    i seem to be doing something wrong.

    i took off all the brackets but the text for the url still shows on the page instead of the video:

    https://formpig.com/blog/?p=4001

    on this page i /think/ i went back and recreated an embed link in vimeo and it works

    https://formpig.com/blog/?p=3311

    but i don’t really want to have to do this for all of these videos and it is possible i will have more to do…

    up at the top i even tried inserting a “www” in case there was some issue there.

    ideas?

    thank you!

    i am putting the finishing touches on my move to mac as well as my WP learning curve.

    i gather you are saying that there is some method that would let me query the database and somehow either automatically change these links or that would point them out so that I could do this manually?

    i mean, i can obviously just manually go through the site and try and remember where these are – in which case you are suggesting i just REMOVE the bracketed data – [xxxxx] – is that right?

    i’m very tempted to take advantage of learning a new tool but perhaps I can hold off on this for the meantime? And if I want to try and learn about this in the future I search for “database query” or other terms (or try and get back in touch with you ; )

    THANKS

    Hi Ipstenu.

    Thanks for the help and in letting me think this through.

    I think one thing I can do is ask them to change the link so that the trackback will go to a BLOG POST which I would prefer.

    Then in this case I would simply have the issue of knowing if I can let this pingback get through (it would be very nice to show this on my site) while not allowing all comments all the time which I really don’t want to have to deal with.

    Also thanks for the internal comment out links code…

    – Jon
