Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Yoast Duplicate Post] Custom posts typeIt does not work with Custom Post Types that contain repeating field groups and Nested repeating field groups.
Meaning where there is a custom post type with child and grandchild related posts, the plugin only duplicates the parent part of the post but not the associated child and grandchild related post which is a shame.
Hi @lopo ,
Thanks for the fast responses. You are correct about WPML and Toolset. So can you tell me exactly what you or someone else would need from Toolset and I will get them to provide it.
If you worked with WPML to do something similar – my guess is for cloning translations – then the Toolset implementation would not be too too different.
Could you help me determine exactly what needs to be done? I imagine this would benefit many users of both plugins.
Thanks
If you were to gain access to Toolset’s API for RFG and Nested RFG, would you be able to add a functionality to clone an entire custom post? We really need this functionality.
Thanks!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Data Tables Generator by Supsystic] Twig conflictThis is still an issue and is causing an issue with WPSOLR plugin as well.
OK – thanks – really great plugin btw!
Dear @asgaros
1. Resaving the permalinks did not help;
2. Disabling the SEO Friendly URLs in Forum settings did not help;
3. The only plugin that causes the Forum issue is Toolset Types;
4. I have contacted the Toolset Tech support and hopefully they can debug this issue.I will keep you informed and appreciate all your help.
Many thanks
OK @asgaros
But one more example
https://www.domain.com/forum/ from here try to select a form and create a topic then click submit, I am redirected to…
https://www.domain.com/forum/forum/cnn/ which is a 404 error page.It is just this last issue that is holding me up. Do you have any other ideas of where I could look? This error is reproduced whether I am using the PermalinksManagerPro plugin or not….
Thanks
Dear @asgaros ,
1. The [forum forum=”2″] shortcode now works and distinguishes between the main forum and the sub forum.
2. I cannot create a topic – everything works until I click the topic submit button then it returns me to an error 404 page…So if the forum is on URL:
https://www.domain.com/forum/forum/cnn/ and I try to create a topic from there and click submit, I am returned to:
https://www.domain.com/forum/forum/cnn/
but this time this link is a 404 not found page3. When I disable the Toolset Types plugin I am able to create a topic. So there must be some bad interaction between your plugin and Toolset Types…
4. Is it normal that when you delete the plugin all the forums and topics are deleted as well?
Thanks

Some information:
1. The Toolset Types plugin (www.toolset.com) stops the ability to create a new Topic in the Asgaros Forum. When you click the submit button the destination is a “Page Not Found” error. I am contacting Toolset and notifying them of this issue.
2. When I use the Asgaros forum shortcode [forum forum=”2″], it is showing the results of the [forum] shortcode (i.e. the entire forum) and not just the forum associated with the forum=”2″.
3. I have done the testing with deactivating all plugins and these problems persist.I hope we can get this solved! Thanks very much.
Dear @asgaros
I have contacted the maker of Permalink Manager Pro – they have promised a solution from their end within the next 12 hours…
I will keep you informed
Dear @asgaros ,
Toolset Support has come up with a potential solution…

Thanks!Dear @asgaros
I believe there is a conflict with a plugin I am using called Permalink Manager Pro.
https://permalinkmanager.pro/I think there must be something about the Permalink Settings that is impacting the Forum’s performance.
Have you ever had experience with this? I am investigating further…
The problem still persists. I think I am going to try and check for a plugin conflict that could be preventing something from working and I will report back to you. I tried to install the forum on a fresh install with the same theme and it worked there. So I am going to assume the issue may reside in this site’s current implementation … thanks for your effort! I will report back shortly.
OK! The shortcode now works with the change you suggested! But for some reason no matter button I click in the Forum menu the screen just refreshes.
It never takes me to the destination URL. I am unable to create topics, View my profile, etc. etc.
These items never worked before the plugin change either. I deleted and reinstalled the plugin and even with the fresh install the Forum is still not working.
Any thoughts?
Dear @asgaros
Is there a way for you to enable the scripts to be loaded by adding a parameter to the shortcode so that the forum shortcode can be used in places beyond the post content?
My problem is this: your forum is the ideal product for the project we are doing… simple, clean, light, aesthetically pleasing.
By the time they get their developers to contact you and make changes to their entire plugin ecosystem just to accommodate one plugin shortcode that has this issue I’m afraid I would have to find a different forum solution.
But if you could have a parameter / switch that we could add to the shortcode that would enable full rendering with scripts, then we could successfully use it where we need to and I’m sure it may be beneficial to others as well.
If it is a parameter it shouldn’t impact the existing shortcode structure you have either.
Would you consider this?
Thanks
