In reply to: [Autoptimize] WANTED: Developer to carry on with AutoptimizeNope. But in the meantime I have had a couple of plug-in’s that caused the js cache to pile up. It’s apparently not an Autoptimize bug. Try and find the plug-in that causes the issue and replace it with a better one. That’s all I can recommend.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Autoptimize] WANTED: Developer to carry on with AutoptimizeErrandum: The issue with the cache files piling up is not a Autoptimize bug. The problem was caused by a plug-in that dynamically changes the page content. Sorry.

In reply to: [WP Minify] [Plugin: WP-Minify] Unable to change cache expiry timeThanks gaspy, but even though this is a good workaround I am wondering why the developer does not respond to the problems that were posted here. If the plug-in is no longer supported, we don’t need to waste time to write reports. I’d appreciate a clear statement from the developer.

In reply to: [Autoptimize] [Plugin: Autoptimize] Why does it create 2 CSS files?Okay, now I know. One for ‘print’ and one for ‘screen’.
That sounds very promising and besides the features I find it very reassuring to receive such a prompt response. ??
The query string might be a minor issue, but Google says it is no good and explains it at the very bottom of this page: https://code.google.com/intl/en/speed/page-speed/docs/caching.html. Not sure how relevant this really is, but if it can be avoided…
Thanks for your response!

In reply to: [WP Minify] [Plugin: WP-Minify] Unable to change cache expiry timeSame for me. Can’t change the expiration time and expired cache files don’t get deleted automatically.
Also, the ‘pretty URL’s’ appear to be broken. They used to work in a previous release, but now the option doesn’t seem to have an effect. (URL still contains a ‘?’).
That does the trick. Thanks!
So far I have had a light gray square instead of a red circle, but the circle is definitely better. ??Cool ?? Thanks!

In reply to: [ImageMagick Engine] A solution for properly cropped imagesNah, doesn’t work. In principle it does, but then the Image Focus Point plug-in seems to strip the metadata from the thumbs that the ImageMagick Engine has generated. No color profile – no good.
Unfortunately spoken too soon… ??
After applying the patch IFP works as advertised, but the regenerated thumbs do no longer have their color profile embedded. That’s, however, why I am using the ImageMagick Engine.
Looks like IFP strips the metadata after the ImageMagick Engine regenerated the thumbs. That’s no good.

In reply to: [ImageMagick Engine] A solution for properly cropped imagesHello Orangelab!
The above fix works and seems to provide a solution to the “blindly going by the middle cropping”. You were so kind to plan to fix this issue in a future release of IME. Now you might want to consider working together with “Image Focus Point”, or take the development further (e.g. integrate with IME). Cool stuff!
YES!!! You are my man! ??
The fix definitely works. I still have to try it with more images and see how it works with all the different thumbnail sizes and aspect ratios. But I can confirm that it basically does what it is supposed to do (e.g. display a portrait format image in a landscape format thumbnail box w/o cutting off the heads of my models).
Now I hope that the author of Image Focus Point will keep this plug-in updated, or cooperate with Orangelab (ImageMagick Engine) to maybe provide an all-in-one solution for photographers. The combination of the two plug-in’s is what I always wanted.
Thanks a lot for the fix!

In reply to: [WP Minify] Bug Report: Cache Setting brokenMoreover, it doesn’t seem to clear the cache. I manually cleared it about a week ago and now checked the cache directory again. It contains a number of files for every single day. Suppose the two bugs are related.
I donate for every single plug-in that I am using on a regular basis, but I gotta make sure it works as advertised first…
