Hello billdancourtney and everybody! I,m trying to find a solution to this 1 year now! I’m sure this is a wordpress bug.
I did everything: Different WP versions 2.6 – 2.8.4, other templates, remove all plugins and try, with or without content to description raw in wp_term_taxonomy table, with all permalinks ways.. i did every possible solution found in wp forums or wp moderators says..
I know one: the problem fixed for the moment after mysql server restart but comes back in a few minutes or hours. I see some difference in time when i’m testing – change some values in mysql server like > performance > cache size , cache type or changes to innodb parameters, but i don’t know yet where is the problem.
looks like a wp bug who stuck the database in mysql server, like cashing or buffer issue or some strange character stuck db..
Bill, your host said you “It was a local issue with one of the mysql tables..” Please ask your host tech team what exactly they change to mysql settings or in your database ’cause if really they gave solution, this is the ONLY solution believe me!!
And sure this is not your or my problem.. months ago i search for this and see thousands WP users have the same problem with no solution.
