In reply to: Site won’t save ‘Looks like somethings gone wrong’so this is clearly an issue with wordpress itself. Default installations with no plugins should not fail and should not require deep server level changes.
I have the same issue.
Will WordPress be issuing a patch to fix this or should I just find different blog software?

In reply to: Website Barely Loading Since UpdateTo downgrade to an earlier version you need to overwrite the /wp-admin/ and /wp-include/ directories with the earlier versions. I would not recommend this at all unless you are fairly experienced with ftp, code and such.
Let me experiment and I’ll get back on this. If it shows that WP is the cause then you can consider it, otherwise, probably not a realistic solution, but rather a bug that should be fixed by WP or the plugin that’s causing the slowness if it can be isolated – many if’s.
We have two versions of the same site: one on 4.4.2 and one on 4.5.1 and the 4.5.1 is molasses. There are some other differences which I’m trying to eliminate to be sure that the problem is WP and not a plugin or theme issue.

In reply to: Website Barely Loading Since UpdateSame issue. I’m downgrading back to 4.5. Here’s the list of files changed in 4.5.1

I will try and post here when I’m done with downgrading.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] did not work – hangsIf I could change this to 3 or 4 stars I would. The plugin authors are actually quite responsive regarding issues. Though they may not be able to get the plugin working, they will try…That’s worth a lot to any active WP developer/user.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Done creating an empty archive.Sadly, this is failing for me as well.
And this is after I purchased the dropbox plugin…will be asking for a refund.
The older version of the plugin linked here caused the site to give a 500 server error.
I don’t have the time or inclination or skill to figure out why it failed or turn on and off multiple plugins…

In reply to: [XML Sitemap & Google News] Not sure if it is working correctlyAlso, I just checked the server and memory is not currently a problem. There seems to be plenty.
I don’t think I can upload a graph, but mem usage is way below limit.
I have set the split to “month” for products.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [XML Sitemap & Google News] Not sure if it is working correctlyI will do that, but I think that won’t help. The site is a migration so all those products probably have the same date.
I assume month would be a better split?
Can I dump the sitemap to a static file to start?
