In reply to: How can I get a new password for my WP blog?I csn’t get into admin – I am using the username and password I
got in the email I received when I installed the WP blog –
I added a blog subdomain to https://ApprenticeMarketerGazette.com
with the same username and pw and was going between the two blogs, and
changing the settings in each one to switch themes … anyway I can’t
access either one now and clicking the lost password gets me an email
with the username and pw that I’m actually using.Sounds complicated but the gist of it is that I have not forgotten
that info and get the same info sent back to me but it’s not working!Fran

In reply to: How do I change the excerpt setting for a sticky post?Hi stvwlf, thank for responding…I’m sorry I wasn’t clear…
I’ll try again:The post I made a sticky is about signing up for a weekly course
for Beginner Bloggers/Marketers – it has a post title and then will be a 6″x4″table containing the invitation and the AWeber signup.I think it would be better for that table to always appear whole
at the top of the next posts. I might be using the wrong name when
I said excerpt – in
the Settings the choice is between whole post and summary. It occured to me just now that it would also work if there’s a
way to set the size of the summary…I’m just getting familiar with WP so I might not be clear in stating my
dilema… I would appreciate some suggestions.Thank you again for responding stvwlf!

In reply to: show categories on postlordgoth,
you do not need a plugin – you need to go to
Settings and then Permalink in that list…You will see 5 choices –Choose Custom Structure and then type: /%category%/%postname%.php
be very careful to get it right, yesterday I forgot one % and
had big trouble.Good luck, you have a nice site!

In reply to: Categories not working after 2.7.1 upgradeI was reading here a couple hours ago because I had a category problem
and found this post….my problem was that:
1. the post titles in the “recent posts” and the post titles themselves were sent to a HTTP404 which meant the excerpts were not expanding.
2. the category titles in the sidebar were lining up the posts they connected to but not expanding them…I took Sambol’ suggestion and checked the custom Permalink I had just updated a few hours before and…ta da…
the custom Permalink /%category%/%postname%.php that I inserted yesterday following Craig DeSorcy’s excellent guide was missing the / between the 2 % in the middle, my mistake… my excuse being that the font is very small in that WP line.Back to Home page and everything’s working fine! That missing little slash kept everything frozen in place… I’m amazed!
Hope this helps someone!
